Re: Things are getting a little better...
Sorry to hear of the passing of your pet. They are so hard to loose and a big chunk of your life is gone so things do change. Glad to hear you are hanging in there. For me it was about 6 weeks into therapy when I thought to myself that I felt better. It was not a dramatic revelation but just an ahah...

Re: Melatonin - suggestions please?
I actually talked to my doc about Melatonin for my husband. He did tell me that if you take it all the time, your body stops producing it naturally and you end up having to take it forever. Just something to think about. Now for my husband that is fine because he has had brain tumors removed and has...

Re: Switched To Swift LT Nasal Pillows - Not Good Results
I use the swift lt for her and love it. I don't know what your problem my be but maybe the pillow size is not right esp if it hurts your nose. It should not hurt anything. Also the mask needs to be kept looser than many. I would make sure I am adjusting it right when putting on and maybe try another...

Rescan Problems......help!
My new machine S-9 autoset is wonderful and I love it but am having a problem with the rescan software. It freezes, different screens pop in and out, then program usually just quits. My computer is running windows 7 professional. Now I do have the sleepyhead software downloaded also and that one wor...

Re: CPAP saved my life
One of my pharmicists' told me the story of her late husband who was a doctor to boot. He was finally diagnosed and put on Cpap but died shortly thereafter. She told me the death was a heart attack but the contributing factor was being undiagnosed for apnea for so long the damage had already been do...

New Machine...so different!
After 5 yrs on my M-series A/flex it was time for a new machine. I chose Resmed S9 autoset for her, yea, pink I know but..I cannot believe the difference in everything about it. The breathing is so much easier, it's so quiet compared to other machine. I have the clinicians manual and although it has...

Re: Air from Eyes
Yes, this happens to a lot of us from time to time. It is an air leak. Your mask will have to be adjusted to fix it. Over time it will dry out your eyes and of course affects your leak rate. One thing could be the actual size of the mask. It could be too big and you might need a smaller size. Good l...

Re: Do nasal pillows work better at keeping sinuses open?
Nasal pillows work best for me as far as the sinuses go. It does feel like the pillows do blow open my sinuses but scientifically not sure.

Re: Doc got things wrong! Now have to start again!!!
Wow! I can't believe how awful things were going for you. I also have to give you a lot of credit for keeping at it as long as you did. Education is the key as you now know. As far as masks go, I have made sure my script says "mask of choice" so it is easier to find what works best for you and your ...

Re: Best solutions for keeping mouth shut while sleeping?
I use tape also with no problems. I used it for awhile then found I didn't need it anymore or so I thought. Went several months doing well without tape but then WHAM I was back to exhaling thru my mouth. I went back to taping for now and will see how it goes and if I can stop for awhile later on. I ...

Re: Napping. Do u use cpap for naps too?
I was told to always use it for napping included BUT I have found personally for me if I sleep on the couch, on my side I have no problems... If I choose to nap in bed, I always hose up. I try to only sleep for an hour since the times I sleep longer the harder it was to get moving afterwards.

Does anyone remember the "pap-cap"? I was reading posts about this new cap for use with long hair and it dawned on me that I havent' seen any mention of the old faithful pap-cap in a long time. Is is still around?
