One each
My machine came with one of each filter. I ordered more on Ebay. I have to change them every week. The foam one is easy to just wash (and I have a spare) but the white ones get all gray in a week and start aggravating my asthma. The hardest part is trying to get them back in the machine squarely. Th...

Doctor recommended it
Years ago my doctor recommended using Benadryl (or generic equiv.) to help me sleep. I have nearly ALL the medical cautions given and all my doctors (sleep apnea, endo, glaucoma specialist, and regular doctor) have said its fine. Of course, I wouldn't take anything regularly without confirming it wi...

Thanks for the replies.
I'm with you GumbyCT. I'm switching from CPAP to BiPAP and fighting with the DME. They say I need to come in for training. I say I canNOT take any more time out of work. Drop off the darn machine and let me get to work. I KNOW they have shut down every possible option so what's the big deal. My CPAP...

CPAP vs BiPAP training?
How much different is the BiPAP from the CPAP strictly as a user? I don't mean in the way that the work but in what "training" I need to use the BiPAP.

Going back for more titration, do I need to lug my machine?
I've been on CPAP since January but not having the results the doctor expects. I'm going in for a full night titration tonight. I figured I should bring the mask that I'm using but do you think I need to lug my CPAP too? (I'm maxed out at 20 so there's no wiggle room for them to try on that machine....

Nerve damage from mask?
I noticed I have a weird spot on my forehead that hurts like when you hit your funny bone. It's right where the edge of the forehead rest sits from my CPAP mask. I've tried wearing my mask looser but it just leaks so bad at the high pressures that I have to keep it as tight as possible. Often I slee...

The bands go above and below the joint where the hose meets the plastic.
WOW! Thanks for the trophy! So glad I was able to help someone else after all the support and help I've received from this site.

I, too, was looking for a picture.
I was having trouble visualizing what everyone was talking about. I managed to design my own answer and it's working great on my full face mask. Got 9 hours sleep last night! A record. Hope it's ok to post this link. http://www.shopnational.com/product.cfm?wc=403001&sgid=2714_ This is a link to the ...

Glaucoma
I've had glaucoma for about 6 years now. Only been diagnosed with sleep apnea for about 4 months. I've tried every drop possible and even had the laser surgery but my pressures are still in the 22-25 range. I just had my first appointment with the eye doctor since starting CPAP but so far there has ...

Ignore me--posted in wrong place.
Everyone in my family has been known to get up. My Mum says I have since my very first night out of the crib! I do have diabetes and HBP. Before CPAP, I was getting up every 90 minutes or so. With CPAP, I only get up once. MUCH nicer. _________________ CPAPopedia Keywords Contained In This Post (Cli...

My doctor recommended
My doctor recommended I use the Benadryl for sleeping. (Of course, that was before the apnea diagnosis.) I usually use it 3 or 4 nights a week to get to sleep. I'm a night person but have a day job. Gotta find a way to get to sleep at a decent hour. Have been taking it for about 14 years or so. Of c...

My doctor owns the DME
When I had my first appointment, they had me sign a document confirming that they let me know that the doctor was partial owner of the DME the clinic uses.

No forehead piece
I'd love to try it because I just HATE that forehead bar. I always end up with a headache. And I still have terrible leaks.
