Re: Opinion on APAP min pressure
My last machine was a Remstar M Series Pro. I did not have software as I never pursued the newer versions of Encore. I only used this machine on 20 for four nights in which I suffered terrible aerophogia (swallowing air - ? sp) It is the same doctor. I am on my own for interpreting the data. However...

Re: Opinion on APAP min pressure
All I was told was that my new CPAP pressure should be set at 20. Once I asked for an APAP due to swallowing air over the last few days, when I received it, it was set at a range of 8-20. I had a sleep study two weeks ago for the doctor to determine the pressure change. What makes me curious is the ...

I am very sensitive to pefumy smells and have never had a problem (7+ years on cpap) with the Ivory.
Ditto from me.

Opinion on APAP min pressure
OK, tonight is the first night on APAP. Been on CPAP for five plus years. The DME claims my doctor set my pressure range at 8-20; he previously prescribed my CPAP set at 20. The best I can decipher without software, based on these forums, tomorrow, I want to look at my 90% average and adjust my min ...

Re: Switched masks, numbers not as good..any ideas?
This may sound like a dumb question, but did you wash it with warm soapy water before the firtst or subsequent uses? A couple of years back I had a similar experience with my AHI and leak rate, then once I washed it those numbers both went down. I think they put a micro-fine powder on the masks. I a...

Re: What is your take on daily emptying of your humidifier?
I rinde my mask daily and let it air dry. Once a week, I clean in soapy water - masks, humidifier, and hose. It's worked great for me for five years. In one of my extra travel machines I had to use bottled (not distilled) water. After just a couple days in my travel trailer using my top-off method w...

Re: Phillips Respironics Remstar Pro/Auto
The brick is NOT permanently attached. In fact, there is only one connection for the power cable into the back of the machine, then the humidifier feeds off the machine for power.

Question on PMs
If a PM shows up in my Outbox, but not the sent items, has it been sent? Or, because I have been absent so long, have my PM priveleges been locked? That's all I could figure out from the FAQ.

Re: Want to Share My Experience (wasted year)
The way I understand it, and I really don't fully understand it, when your blood pressure is high - especially excessively high, and your are using CPAP that is not fully working - you are still having apneas and your O2 levels are going down, this causes an additional increase in blood pressure tha...

Want to Share My Experience (wasted year)
Hey Everyone, I'm back. I feel like I need to share what happened with me. When I first got my CPAP five plus years ago I was all over this sight. I had a Smart Code and EncorePro and I monitored myself very closely. For years everything was always fine. Finally, the time came about a year and a hal...

Help on DC adapter for Remstar Plus/Pro - Camping
Hey guys, Going camping this weekend. I waited until the last minute, and as other posts instructed went to Radio Shack to get a DC power plug for my machine. I plugged it into my Power Supply and machine, and it doesn't work. I thought the inverter in the machine might be bad, so I tried my other m...
