Shedding light on DME pricing vs Online
Ok I've seen countless posts where people are thinking, in their individual opinions, that DME pricing is outrageous or people are being gouged. These people usually use places like cpap.com as their comparison to what pricing is fair. This is like comparing apples to apricots and I hope you will se...

Re: ResScan 3.11, averages of AHindices inconsistent
I try to compare two periods of time (several weeks) in which I used my S9 with different constant pressures. April-June (7mmH20): unknown: 0.0 / central: 2.1 / obstruct: 0.3 // Apnoe: 2.9 / hypopnoe: 0.3 /// AHI: 3.2 July-August (8mmH20): unknown: 0.0 / central: 1.6 / obstruct: 0.2 // Apnoe: 2.0 /...

Re: Blinking blue light on M-series heated humidifier??
Is it still ok to use the cpap machine when the light is blinking. To answer your question, no, do not use the humidifier with the light blinking. This may cause the humidifier to overheat and actual catch something on fire! That is why some units have been recalled (yours might have depending on t...

Re: Error Codes
Once again does anyone know where to find a complete listing of the error codes for the Remstar Auto? Not just one at a time but the complete list. Thank you Yeah.....they're in the "Service Manual" for the machines. The manuals are in .pdf format. But.....just for YOU.....I've converted that secti...

Re: Sleep Weaver --- CLOTH!! Mask????
thats cool. the reason for the price difference is the mark up. cpap.com probably gets them for like $100 each (+/-) and then only marks them up a little. Much like walmart does compared to other companies, the both work on the premise that they dont make as much on each individual item but hope to ...

Re: Newbie needs help interpreting numbers
I agree you should bring this up with your sleep doc, he/she may want to look at your compliance data which may or may not require you to take your machine to your DME for a download. You may just need a slight bump in pressure. And jsut a word of caution, please dont try to adjust the pressure your...

Re: Sleep Weaver --- CLOTH!! Mask????
I bought the new sleepweaver and it does not work very well. It leaks like a sive. It hard to ajust and it is anoying. I just lost 129.95 on it. Don't waste your money. Have you tried calling the company for a refund? If you bought it for a DME they should be able to take it back and exchange it wi...

Re: Medicare "Smart Card" monitoring
no the software is expensive so they wont provide a copy for you, and really, you dont need a copy. The DME downloads the information off the card and forwards it to your insurance. They should be able to provide you with a copy of the report as I would believe this would become part of your medical...

my two cents
Im sure this has probably been answered but a nasal mask can work with BIPAP as long as the person does not open their mouth. The laws of physics state that pressure takes the path of least resistance, much like electricity. So if pressure is being applied to your nose and your mouth is open, it wil...
