Re: Choosing a Battery
deep pockets is a relative term (LOL). I need to reign it in at times. On the other hand, the price is somewhat offset by the potentially greater lifespan of a lithium battery. People like light and thin laptops and cell phones that are a lot more money than three bills. It really comes down to spou...

Re: Choosing a Battery
I use a lithium battery in my kayak. Some awesome developments for campiing, kayaking, airplaning. My airline American let me take a 222 wh battery, with preauthorization (to use during the flight). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZXYVG4G/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 3 nights no hu...

Re: Choosing a Battery
I have two machines, a respironics system one and a respironics M series (both auto bipap). I am trying to figure out the power draw without using humidifier for a upper pressure of 12, lower pressure of 8. Respironics told me the system one (760p) uses 6.6 amps per hour, and the series M uses 3 amp...

use cpap through 12 volt in a car
I have a respironics series m cpap, will this run through the 12v power outlets in a 2018 rav4, given the rav4 power specs? I had to put in new 12v outlets in my subaru because the output from the electrical system was not sufficient to power the series m. Will the rav4 be able to handle the draw? a...

Re: setback on my sleep apnea, requet for help
1. Is my asking for a current sleep study unwarranted, given that I had one last done two years ago? I am wondering if the machines are not actually malfunctioning, but there has been a change in my sleep pattern.[/quote] sleep changes from hour to hour and night to night. you've got an auto machine...

Re: setback on my sleep apnea, requet for help
Before they prescribed the Bi-pap they should have done a full sleep study with titration to zero in on the actual inhale and exhale pressures you needed for treatment. did that not happen? If not then that is a solid reason to get a new full sleep study performed. as stated in my original descript...

Re: setback on my sleep apnea, requet for help
What makes you think your machine or settings are not working. Those numbers are about as near to perfect as you can get. When I started using the 760p about a month ago, I experienced being more tired by 40%, and about 40% compromised in cognitive functions, e.g., concentration, plus headaches eve...

setback on my sleep apnea, requet for help
I would like some help from the sleep apnea community after a recent setback with my apnea. Background I was diagnosed with sleep apnea over 20 years ago. Have been using a cpap/bipap machine for as long as they have been around. I have had multiple sleep studies. I had uppp about 10 years ago, made...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
Some mentioned in this thread that they were using the poweradd to power the m series respironics at 16 volts. I am wondering if this is dangerous to the machine, which normally takes 12 volts, have read in other threads that this might not be a great idea. Perhaps with the poweradd, though, it work...

also wondering about needing an SOC, which they are recommending. So on top of battery, charger for $69 $50 SOC: A State-Of-Charge Gauge With Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) Function $9 for balancer wondering for the SOC with LVD, is this standard to purchase on top of a lifep04 to keep it healthy, or ...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
found a local lifep04 maker/factory, 20ah batteries, inexpensive, 4 cell with a balancer. Does the balancer facilitate a "deep cycle" equivalence? Wondering how this would compare to a ctc. http://elitepowersolutions.com/products/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=146 Got the poweradd today, open...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
LiPo has a 3.7 voltage so it doesn't match well with 12v appliances and requires special charging which brings to the fore, the system one voltage requirements, the lifep04 output voltage, do I need a dc to dc converter, or does the system one accept the variance? Would seem to be answered by the f...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
Back to the discussion, I read that lithium phos batteries, with a given shelf life, and given cost, payoff if used a couple times a day, but do not pay off when used once or twice a month. While li poly have fewer cycles, may be better payoff if used less regularly. That for a relatively lightweigh...
