Re: Anyone here switched from nasal to full-mask?

I use an AirFit F20, which I think is the same as your except it has a silicone cushion instead of a memory foam cushion. Have you tried this model or heard comments from other users about it? I wonder if memory foam would slip off less than silicone... I started with the silicone cushion too. It w...

Re: Hybrid mask nasal pillow life.....

I used the Innomed Hybrid for many years. I liked it for the most part, but did have leaking issues which seemed to get worse over time, almost like the nasal pillows stretched my nares. I eventually couldn't handle the leaks anymore and switched to the Resmed Airtouch F20, and couldn't be happier.

Re: Anyway here switched from nasal to full-mask?

I have used both over the years. The last nasal mask I used for 5 years or so, was actually a hybrid with both nasal pillows and mouth component. I can't use just a nasal mask since I mouth breathe frequently, and I can imagine taping my mouth shut. A couple of years ago I switched to a Resmed AirTo...

Re: One Algorithm's RERA another's Hypopnea?

I don't worry about minor differences in AHI myself because 90% of the time any extra flagged events are more related to arousal breathing or SWJ (sleep/wake/junk) than they are real asleep airway related collapses but if you aren't sleeping well or feeling decent then it might be worth a little bi...

Re: One Algorithm's RERA another's Hypopnea?

Are you aware of the different criteria for naming of a flagged event that must be met to earn a flag? No definitely, I am not familiar with the details of each manufacturer's criteria. And I take your point. I guess I'm trying understand if my therapy was actually equivalent between the two machin...

One Algorithm's RERA another's Hypopnea?

I have been using PR machines for almost two decades now. As I mentioned in an earlier post I am working through transitioning to Resmed. I seem to have small 10 minute or so clusters of events 3 to 4 times per night. These clusters were mostly identified as RERAs on my System One 60, but it appears...

Re: PR to Resmed Transition - Need Help

Then in all honesty, I would set the AS11 at 11-15 for at least a few days. I agree with one small caveat. A pressure of 11 in System One seems greater than 11 on the AS11. Not sure why but I kind of felt starved for air at 11, a minimum pressure of 12 on the AS11 feels much more like what I am use...

Re: PR to Resmed Transition - Need Help

Nasal congestion may be playing a role. As I noted it has been bad the last few weeks, however last night I felt pretty clear going to bed using Astepro. I could have clogged up during the night, but I didn't notice.

Re: PR to Resmed Transition - Need Help

Definitely did get some clusters even on the good night. Since I couldn't post anymore images I added a link to the image in google drive. Hopefully they can be used by everyone. Put the link in a previous post above. I never sleep on my back, so I think back sleeping is not applicable. BTW, the pro...

Re: PR to Resmed Transition - Need Help

Pugsy, I do kind of tuck my chin, but I always do that so not sure if it can explain the clusters. I did have 3 smaller clusters even on the good night, see image from link below. It also looks like some Hypopneas may be getting missed, but they may not pass the exact definition for the algorithm. I...

Re: PR to Resmed Transition - Need Help

Uh oh, seems the attachment quota has been reached. I am going to try something using Google Drive. If this works, this is a typical System One night from early September. Can someone please let me know if this link works for you? Thanks. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a2Iio3KS-nLINaXWTElu0U3WqG1V...

Re: PR to Resmed Transition - Need Help

Pugsy, I don't think so. I am a side/stomach sleeper, and almost always wake up in the position I fall asleep, then turn to the other side. It could happen, but I have never woken up on my back, ever.

Here is a zoomed in image of last night in one of the clusters. Pressure close to 18. Lots of flow limitations.

Re: PR to Resmed Transition - Need Help

My Resp Rate is all messed up due to Cardioballistic issues I believe. Here is a zoomed in image from last night. Clearly my Resp Rate is not in the high 30's to 40's like it says. By my count it is maybe 17 or 18. I am also concerned that the algorithm may be seeing these Cardioballistic effects as...
