When visiting my DME today (Remstar went "plonk" and quit) I asked about prices going up. DME resp therapist said that, "it won't matter how high the prices go, insurance will still cover whatever insurance wants to cover". The folks at my DME have been very good to me. I've bought a couple of spare...

This might save you a trip to your local DME..

OK, I took old Betsy into the DME this morning and related the information to my respiration guru there. "Oh, you must have taken a trip and gotten water in the machine. E47 means there is moisture in the machine... it's under warranty, no problem". Yes, I'd been on a trip. With my surge protector a...

Thanks for the help!

I'll definitely request a copy of what was repaired in the machine.

I loved the "airiness" of the nasal pillows but was never able to get over sore nares. It took a month of torture before I switched to the Activa mask and I've never looked back. Sorry to sound negative but what I've learned from this group is that there is no "silver bullet" when it comes to masks....

I LOVE my Activa. LOVE it. I've tried others and they just didn't work for me.

Before going to bed I'll use Sea Breeze and a round cotton disc to remove the oil from my face.

Not only does this make the mask seal properly; it's also done wonders for my complexion!

REMstar Pro 2 BiPap - Error Message

Twice since buying this machine, it's stopped working. Both times an error message flashes on the display - "E47". So I'll take the darned thing back where I got it and get it fixed. Question: What in the heck can I do to prevent an "E47" from happening again? The folks at my local medical supplies ...

I love my Activa, I've tried several and for me nothing else is close.

Simple Green® diluted with lots of water has been the best thing I've used to clean my mask.

Thanks guys! Long story short... the machine is "buggy" and is being sent back to Respironics. My DME comes through like champions - gave me a very nice, clean lender machine (different brand) and told me that my Respironics has a 2 year warranty through my DME.. and that if they can't get it fixed ...

PROTONIX! My internist, when initially told of my symptoms (fatigue, sore throat in the am, etc..) gave me samples of Protonix and scheduled a sleep study. I take the Protonix first thing in the morning.. I've not had acid reflux in three months. Amazing! And Protonix isn't all that expensive. Pleas...

Well, the first night sans BiPAP is over. I've got a sore throat from snoring and my wife is scowling at me because she didn't get any sleep . No clues here as to the error messages, eh? I've triple checked everything - the card is in right, I've unplugged the machine and plugged it back in... it se...

Respironics Pro II: Error Message/Alert

Hello Gang, I traveled to my father in laws home with my wife and took the BiPAP. Last night was horrible - for some odd reason my BiPAP didn't do the normal 14/10 thing last night; It blew 10 all night long. I checked the manuals, could find NO information about anything. So tonight I'm home. I hoo...

Jere, you are right! Drug companies + campaign contributions = big business It's like the oil companies gouging us for gasoline, claiming whatever they claim yet making record profits from us. At any rate, I didn't take my lunesta last night and I rolled and tumbled without sleep. So tonight, I take...
