Re: Continuing therapy during life changes

This was a deal made by my DME to me. My insurance had nothing to do with it, nor are they involved it the deal. But if your insurance will cover a machine 100% with that DME so you don't have to pay the rest, talk to them to see what can be worked out, too. Yeah my insurance will cover a brand new...

Re: Continuing therapy during life changes

If there's any chance you could pay something, you might ask if the DME will allow you to make smaller payments. They might not be able to because of contractual arrangements with your insurer, or may not be willing to, but it's worth asking. They might prefer that to taking back a now used machine...

Re: Continuing therapy during life changes

Can you clarify? 1. Did you (or your former insurance company) buy the machine outright? Or was it a capped rental, which would become a purchase after a period of time? 2. Do you have new insurance? 3. Did you pay with credit card and you can't make the payments because you lost your job. We are m...

let me purchase a new iBrezze 20 machine
If you own the machine, what is the concern about keeping it?
I do not own the machine yet. My DME has me on a payment plan. $125 a month for 4 months.

Continuing therapy during life changes

So long story short, my insurance will cover a new machine and my Resmed AirSense 10 bit the dust. My DME was kind enough to let me purchase a new iBrezze 20 machine for cheap last month. Only issue is that I just got laid off. I'm getting really good sleep with the machine. Anyone know of any optio...

Re: Sold My Old ResMed Machine...

I called my DME to verify the machine was paid off. It was paid in full years ago. So that's a relief.

Re: Sold My Old ResMed Machine...

Thank you for letting me know. Still curious what my DME will say. :?

Sold My Old ResMed Machine...

So I've had my Resmed AirSense 10 since 2018. Recently got myself a newer machine. The AirSense 10 has been sitting up in my closet gathering dust for about a year now. Figured someone else could benefit from what little life the machine has left in it. However I had a few questions: * Will my DME k...

Re: CPAP Compliance

It's normal to require an annual compliance report. My state healthcare has different requirements. The machine is rented to you for three months. During that 3 months you must have 70% usage of 4 hours or more per night. So yes, you can miss a few nights and still be covered. After that, the state...

Re: CPAP Compliance

No, it's the same machine from last year. My healthcare provider wanted another compliance report done. I don't know why. Last year I passed with flying colors.

And I don't think I get a new machine every year. I've only owned 3 in the last ten years. :)

Re: CPAP Compliance

Thanks everyone. Guess the math wasn't adding up in head due to the way the rules were written.

Re: CPAP Compliance

All I know is what I quoted. I only have one day at exactly 4 hours, two days I was below that mark, the rest are 5 hours or more with the average of 6. What I am guessing is that I failed the compliance test so in a few days I am going to pack it up and take it back to my DME.

CPAP Compliance

So I was curious if I am meeting the requirements for compliance. According to my healthcare provider compliance is defined as: "Adherence to therapy is defined as use of PAP four hours or more per night on 70 percent of nights during a consecutive thirty-day period anytime during the first three mo...

Re: Compliance

Looks like I didn't hold the two buttons down long enough. It's all good now, I got into the menu and made the adjustment. Works way better now. DME called and said I was hardly using the machine for the last month, had to go down to their office with the SD Card to set them straight. I'm at 93% com...

Re: Compliance

I can't get into the clinician's mode. My DME has it locked out somehow. It's all good. Maybe I'll try to get into it after my insurance pays it off.
