Re: Issues with shipping CPAP machines to Taiwan - Any advice?

Hi Chris and Paul, I looked over the Airsense 10 For Her and it looks fairly portable and not that big. Very nice. Why isn't it classified as a Travel CPAP too? It looks only slightly larger than a Travel CPAP. I saw a video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAiQaUe6VmE (How do you embed ...

Re: Cannot function daily life, please help!

Hey everyone, I'm able to post my graphs now. Which ones do you need to see? We need to see some daily graphs, maybe recent three days, one after the other like the one pictured below. Pin Event Flags to the top. Below that put: Flow Rate Pressure Leak Rate Since you have no Flow Limitation graph, ...

Re: New user - Steep learning curve

Funny thing - exercise is definitely a factor. On the days I put in maximum effort (bad Deadpool reference) I am seeing lower API numbers. Bumping it to 12 minimum certainly made a difference also. ... Still feeling comfortable with 12 set to minimum. Tempted to go a little higher next week when I ...

Re: Issues with shipping CPAP machines to Taiwan - Any advice?

Even if I were living out of a suitcase and required to have a cpap, I'd still get the Airsense 10 Autoset. Everything about the therapy delivered by Respironics machines is generally coarser than ResMed. Travel machines are also generally louder. Yes, the Airsense is 0.36 Kilo heavier, but way quie...

Re: UPDATE

Well I went to Pulmonologist today and he wants me to take another sleep test to see if i have narcolepsy. Does anyone here have narcolepsy? So excited for a third sleep test. 🤦‍♀️ Depending on the severity of a narcolepsy diagnosis, you may be prevented from driving. If it is severe, you're probab...

Re: Nasal Mask vs Face Mask (Newbie)

... Another thing is that it's my theory at least that during untreated sleep apnea the body gets used to being roused at night, and even sets up mechanisms to have more energy at night (in order to "survive" the suffocation from the apnea's). This is even borne out in some studies which show in pe...

Re: COVID 19, CPAP, Ventilator MEGA THREAD...everything go here please

The two things are getting horribly jumbled up together in the national conversation ... to the likely detriment of public support over tackling either issue." Zonker, that's a big problem with modern journalism, but especially with op-eds. People confuse opinion/editorial with actual news. Then th...

Re: New, Severe, Really Concerned

Last night was good. I did raise the min. pressure to 10 but I find it interesting that my pressure never really went up. Basically stayed around the minimum the whole time. 5-20-20.png Congratulations NewToSleepApnea! I think I remember LSAT saying something about how when you're at the right Min ...

Re: Counting of events - need clarification

Was reminded of a very old conversation here but am unable to locate it. My best memory of it was that events can be under reported if the apnea crosses over a machine's reporting time. For instance, if the machine calculates every 30 seconds, and an apnea started 9 seconds before the calculation a...

Re: New, Severe, Really Concerned

The below graph is for someone with one of the popular brand Auto-style machines. We titrate Min and Max to find the sweet spot - the Minimum pressure required to keep the airway open. For most people we leave Max open to 20 and bring the Min pressure up to keep the airway open all night. However so...

Re: New, Severe, Really Concerned

Starting to make some real progress. Got to sleep sooner, now looking for a couple days in a row for consistency. And hopefully eventually sleeping long than a 2 hours at a time. But can't complain at all with the progress. Question - with my pressure mostly being at the minimum, should I attempt t...
