We took a whole small suitcase full of Walmart bottled water on the last cruise we went on (Me, my wife, 3 kids) because we like to drink water, and shipboard water can be less than wonderful. I took two empties and filled them with distilled water marking them with an "X" on the cap with a sharpie....

Reed, I think my situation is similar to yours. My sleep study showed my apnea to be moderate, and my O2 sat never went below 90%. I did not feel overly sleepy during the day. I had no overt symptoms other than I snored like a freight train. Here's what my CPAP adventure has been like: Within a few ...

I guess I can say my sock and floss muffler experiment was a success. It reduced the noise by a fair amount, and I didn't wake up dead (or even feeling bad), so the carbon dioxide didn't build up too much. I'm going to continue to to tweak and report. On a side note, how long does it take for the in...

I just got an NAII on the advice of a coworker. Man, is it ever LOUD! (the NAII, not my coworker.) I tried it one night. I managed to fall alseep, but my wife first tried her ipod to drown out the noise, then eventually moved to the couch. Otherwise, I like the NAII. This morning, I cut the top off ...

Hi Kevin, I'm in Indiana as well. Welcome to the group! I started CPAP back in October and I'll try to give you a brief rundown of what it has been like for me so far: For the first few weeks, I'd wake up several times a night either with a massive air leak from my mask becoming dislodged, or the ho...

Just to be on the safe side, I'd recommend plugging this heater into one of those short extension cords that have a ground fault interrupter (GFCI) built in.

That would go for any heated hose.

Ron, I recommend you choose your machine based on features rather than the data capability. After all, you'll be using the machine every night, all night. The data will get used now and again. I see the choice going along the following lines: Do you want exhilation relief AND auto pressure? If yes, ...
