Re: What's the longest use of the same machine?
I've used the same machine since 2008. It stopped counting hours at 19,999. I didn't notice that it had stopped counting until March 2017.

Re: Remember me? I'm back on CPAP. Let's catch up!
Hi, Jen! Glad to see you here. I check in from time to time and sometimes wonder about all the folks who were around in 2007. I'm still using the same equipment and still feel like crap, lol. My machine went over 20,000 hours about three years ago and I've just qualified for Medicare so the fun begi...

Re: Went on Medicare Jan. 1st
Thanks for posting. I start Medicare tomorrow. I'm still using the same ASV that I got in 2008. It topped out at 19,999 hours about three years ago. I wonder what kind of hoops I'll have to jump through to get a new machine.

Re: Take CPAP when traveling
I dragged my ASV to Norway with me and it's a whole lot bigger than yours. It has never helped me sleep better, in fact, I haven't had a good night's sleep since I started this nonsense over 10 years ago. But the thought of embarrassing my family by dying while on vacation made me take it. Norway is...

Re: System one ASV lifespan?
I have an older model that hit 20,000 hours in March, when it stopped recording hours. It's still going strong, but I do have a backup.

Re: 1st night with DreamWear mask - Best night ever.
Ha, yes. I have the version that was new in 2007. I'm not at home right now so can't remember. So far, everything is holding up well, I have over 21,000 hours on my main ASV. It whines on and off during the night, which drives me crazy. Still don't feel like it is doing me any good at all and have n...

Pugsy, is the new Encore Pro backwards compatible? I'm going to have to get a new laptop soon and I don't know if the old Encore Pro will work with the new Windows. Or will the new Encore Pro work with my old ASV?
I also have the DreamWear mask on order and can't wait to try it out.

Re: Update on Mike
Dori, I don't check in as often as I used to so I'm just now hearing of Mike's passing. I am so sorry that you have lost your life partner, but he did fight the good fight and you were by his side the whole way. I hope you feel the love of this forum and that, in some way, it gives you comfort. Hugs...

I had my first taste of trout in a restaurant in Norway over the Christmas holidays. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Actually, it tasted pretty good. Not so much the reindeer meat and salmon, though.

Re: Happy Birthday DoriC!
Dori,
I came on yesterday to wish you a happy birthday and started reading about Mike's deteriorating condition. I've spent the last year on the diabetes forum, trying to figure out yet another life complication, so I had missed it. Love to you and Mike as you go through this difficult time.

Re: Horrible ASV titration study last night - need help
It sounds like your titration night was like every night I've had since starting this so called "therapy". Welcome to a life with little sleep, swollen belly and constant farting. For some of us it doesn't get any better.
