I switched to a regular mask (not full face) and it helped a lot when sleeping on my stomach......if I don't move. I get frustrated when I want to turn my head to the other side.....off comes the mask. That headrest looks like a good idea. I assume you can get it with a regular nasal mask, not the n...

Thanks for the comments. All I can say is I love Requip. Totally changed my life. But I am still on the quest. Slept with my new mask last night. Only made it about an hour and a half, (rolled over and got wet, never had that with the FF), but I can tell the difference this morning. If I wouldn't wa...

RLS and Requip

During my titration I used Requip because I danced a jig all night long the first sleep night. When I finally saw my doc after the titration and discussed the study he gave me a sample pack of requip. It started out at 25 mg for a few days, went to 50 for a few and ended with 1 mg. When I thought th...

I think the best I've heard yet is okay, take your company to Mexico..but take your family with you. Wouldn't that change the tune. We all need to start fighting I think.

I had a HP laptop and a Compaq (now owned by HP) and had the same experience. I could not for the life of me understand what they wanted me to do (had a glitch with the software). In one call I finally got an American and when she said okay try that and call back if it doesn't work. I explained (nea...

When people realize that buying at Walmart is not cheap, that we subsidize the workers (they actually use our tax dollars to provide "benefits" for their employees from state government) and that most everything there is made in China, America might get some jobs back and we won't constantly have to...

I checked out a bunch. Called my DME, he's checking with Ins to see if they'll cover yet another mask. Otherwise guess I'll have to fork out some money. But I'm game. Tried my first dose of Requip last night. I am total
amazed how good I feel today. I feel like I wasted the last 20 years.

Any masks that don't use nasal pillows?

I'm on my second mask and absolutely hate it. My first was a Liberty Mirage, but I couldn't handle the nasal pillows (blew too hard). I then switched to the Mirage Ultra and I HATE it and can't sleep with it. Now that I'm fairly accustomed to everything else (noise, lights, air) I'm hoping I can lea...

I've had the kicking for the last 30 years -- that I know about. I get it awake sometimes if I'm extremely tired. At this point I don't care if it's primary or secondary. I may get to sleep!

Saw Doc, got reports, got meds for PLMS -- there's hope!

Saw my doc today (although he's actually a APNP). Got the narratives of my two sleep studies (by the MD). I'm feeling hopeful. Evidently I have some Scottish or Irish background. I jig the night away. 427 periodic leg movements, at least 44 associated with arousal. PLM index was 75 events per hour. ...

Nightwatcher, thanks for the idea. I do sleep with a feather pillow, but I bet a new one would make a big difference. (And a relatively inexpensive fix.) I had issues with the nasal pillows (felt like my nose was expanding) so I switched to a FF. Don't like that either. I think I'm going to try just...

Tylenol PM is what clued me in that I had a problem. When I would take it I would go from a deep sleep to sitting up and gasping..so I had to give it up and stop sleeping. My NP listened to my story about it and sent me to the study. So now I'm back to Tylenol PM (didn't want to) to try to make the ...
