Re: Whistle while you sleep...

LOL no it isn't me doing the whistling. The Swift LT has the tinniest of whistle noises that I am convinced will drive me stark raving mad over time. The problem is that everything else about the mask is great. Oh well, I have been losing weight to the point that my pressure has gone down from 12 to...

Whistle while you sleep...

Has anyone who owns the Swift LT found a way to get it to stop that little whistling noise? I think it is slowing driving me insane.

Sorry it took so long to reply to everyone, but my FIANCE (that was for Babs) and I closed on our house on Friday and we have been moving stuff all weekend. Babs, I promised the nasal pillows to Treesap as soon as I get to the box I packed that stuff in. One of the side hoses is pretty mangled so I ...

Dreamstalker is mostly right. The new mask (Swift LT) works great for me. I have gone through many, many masks over those months. The most useful tool has been the software to read my data card. Without that, I would have never been able to even know what my AHI was, let alone get it down to zero. S...

Zero AHI acheived.

Well after about 10 months I finally had a night of zero AHI. Thank you to all the great folks here that helped me out. The next night my AHI was 0.1 so I am on a roll.

Sorry, you will have to pry my Swift LT from my cold, dead nostrils before I give it up!

I put the chinstrap on first. I actually never thought of doing it the other way. I will have to give that a shot and see how it goes.

The same thing happened to me. I "outgrew" it though. Now I sleep for about 7 hours before I wake up.

The small pillows are still working really well for me. I am averaging a 0.6 AHI and my Snore Index is all the way down to 4. It used to be in the 100s.. The slight whistling noise went away when I turned up the warmth on the humidifier again now that it hasn't been raining constantly. Over all, I a...

Hmmm I'm not sure. I know it doesn't happen with the Large pillows. Those cause too much pressure on my upper lip though.

The small pillows worked out really well for me. The only problem now is that the small pillows have a slight whistle noise when I exhale sometimes, like the "whistlers" you sometimes get in your nose. I wonder is CPAP.COM will send me a replacement for the pillows?

I am experiencing the same success/issues with this mask. I will try the small pillows tonight to see if that works. With the Swift II I ended up using the large, but I think this mask is a bit different.

I set mine according to how humid the weather is on a particular day. I need to have more moisture, so the higher the number the better for me. In dry times I crank the heater all the way up and at times like the last few days here in the NE, I turn it down a few notches.
