Re: O/T Proud new parent... of a sort.

Including my brothers and my one son there are a total of 4 parrots in the family. They are great -- except when they get to chattering/talking then they are a pain. Especially when there is company and they want to be the center of attention!

Nice looking bird, enjoy it.

Re: I sleep better without CPAP than with

I have heard that insomnia can be related to sleep apnea.

I agree with Den, I wouldn't get rid of the equipment just yet.

Re: Any "oldies" ever revisit your "newbie" posts?

I haven't but should!! I still have a lot of knowledge that I don't know. The technical stuff is still often times over my head (shhhh -- don't tell hubby I admitted I don't know everything as he so often times says that I claim I do). I know without this site I would have been so lost and would pro...

Re: SEMI-OT: My Jonah has apnea (adenoids)

My grandson has some sleep issues (wakes up at all hours and is restless in the night). He is 6. His sister sleeps two doors down (large closet and bathroom between the rooms) and complains that his snoring wakes her up. Had the adenoids out, but doctor left the tonsils. Didn't help his sleep, but d...

Re: Bipap vr CPAP

I have asthma and used an apap for almost 5 years. If your pressure is 6 and 3 I know I would feel like I am not getting enough air at those pressures. Even at 8 (my original script was for a pressure of 8 to 12) I get that feeling. I upped my pressure to 9/10 to 15 and it felt much better. I was ab...

Re: My first nite without pap, in 7 years

Oh Jim, so sorry to hear about your accident. Sounds scary. I have always been "clumsy" falling downs stairs and even up stairs (don't even ask how that is accomplished but it can be done). It is the running joke in the family that I can fall over "air". Thankfully no broken bones. Please take care ...

Re: several mask for $20 / $25

I agree that it is buyers beware when dealing with Craigslist or eBay. But with that said -- I have gotten some fantastic deals from both -- things I could not have afforded at full retail price. I feel that my family and I are better for it. I recently picked up the PRS bipap I am using from Craigs...

Re: Dori's Duck is greatful!!!!

Ducky -- I can already picture it in my mind -- You see our youngest son goes by Ducky. He got the nickname when you was a baby and his older sister was less than 2 and would call him her "Ducky". Actually his name is Dusty, but she simply couldn't get the "st" out and it sounded like "ducky". A cut...

Re: allergy to mask

Make sure you wash your mask prior to use. Let it soak for a bit prior to rinsing it. Make sure your face is clean and free from any oils.

Depending upon your mask you buy mask liners so that your skin is next to a liner instead of the silicone.

Re: Pur-Sleep Cpap Aromatherapy

In my opinion well worth it. I don't use it every night and in fact use it sparingly. Part of the big reason is I am lazy . I have used many of the scents Pur-Sleep has and find that I like the ones that are more subtle. The AirCandy ones are good as well, especially the vanilla and chocolate.

My prayers and thoughts are with you. It sure makes my struggles seem insignificant when compared to you and your family. Re: Is there any software compatible with Android Tablet?

That is an interesting concept since it seems that many of the younger generation is moving towards the tablets (or so it appears to me). It may open more users to keep check on their data. I have a Nook tablet that takes a micro sd card, also an iPad, Blackberry Playbook, and Kindle Fire (which non...
