Re: Hybrid, Liberty and Zzz-Mask Comparison Post
Funny you should mention a nose itch. Last night my nose itched as well, and I had to scratch it. No latex or anything so esoteric, but simply a stray hair that got caught in the mask. Since yours itches during the day, I doubt that there is such a simple resolution. Either the Liberty or the Hybrid...

Just out of curiosity, how often does the same poster have to post the same message before it is considered spam? Especially if the post is always written in Caps with no punctuation...

Re: The Great Vaseline™ Conspiracy of '06
That's good ... we seem to be making some progress on catching up with old posts. I'm so embarrassed. I didn't realize how old this thread was when I responded. But it was suggested elsewhere on this forum yesterday that Vaseline was inappropriate for use by CPAPers and then this thread was at the ...

Re: OK!!
With regard to adults, Ikeda (1937) summarized 106 cases from the literature, Graef (1939) 22 cases, Bishop (1940) 136 cases, Freiman et al. (1940) 58 cases, and Moel & Taylor (1943) 20 cases. They concluded that lipid pneumonia, especially the diffuse chronic form, occurs more frequently in adults...

Re: Sleep Study Oxygen Level
My oxygen saturation level fell to the low 80s frequently during my sleep study. But the purpose of the XPAP therapy is to keep us breathing so that our level does not fall below 90%. Keeping the airway open tends to keep it above 90% for most of us. Has your wife had the lower levels while using XP...

Re: Aaack! Foiled again!! That elusive M Series Pro......
The M Series Plus does not have all of that information that your DME is promising. This one does: M Series Pro with C-Flex, Heated Humidifier, EncoreViewer and Card Reader Call your doctor's office, you don't need another visit, and ask to have a new Rx that specifies this machine, that your DME is...

Re: Is there a mask without those straps?
I have recently started using the resmed machine and bought a new mask from your company. The Gel mask and I wake up in the middle of the night with the feeling that I am suffocating. I try to remove the mask in my sleep and panic when I can't get those clips at the base of the mask off. It is a ho...

Re: Respironics nightmare
I've never used the enemies list on this forum, but anyone who publishes a PRIVATE message clearly deserves to be put on it. You didn't do your homework and ordered the wrong equipment. The vendor offered you a 50% refund. That wasn't enough for you so you came here to whine. Someone approached you ...

It's not a survey, it is a Product Challenge, and since CPAP.com is paying for the administration he can include anyone he wants.bandit007 wrote:what is the sence of having a survey in which you discriminate against canadian who can enter?

Re: Sore nose and sinus update
Dreamer, you might want to try some Ayr Gel or Ayr Saline Spray in each nostril rather than Vaseline. I know from my years of working with Doctors that there is some chemical in Vaseline that should not be inhaled. Thanks, DoriC, it was my husband's doctor (he's on Coumadin) and then my own doctor ...

Cool, I didn't even think of that! I just want to avoid sending it back to the manufacturer for repair. Thanks for your help.

Re: Sore nose and sinus update
If you are going to use CPAP, please use a smidgen of Vasoline in each nostril every morning to fight the drying tendency of therapy. If your sinuses dry out, they are more likely to crack and allow infection to take hold. You definitely don't want to go there.

A suggestion
Although I am not familiar with the general bleeding, using Vasoline every morning may help keep the nasal passages from drying out which makes them more likely to bleed.
