I use the Ascensia Contour meter by Bayer Pharmaceuticals. I still have to prick my fingers although I hit the sides of my fingers. I try to stay with testing on my right hand only since I write with my left hand. The strips are pricey if your insurance doesn't cover them. My meter gives test result...

> Since I drink tap water I assume it's not unhealthy to inhale it. That's not necessarily a safe assumption to make. Neither is it necessraily an unsafe assumption to make! If the water is potable, there is no evidence to support that it does any harm at all in the low vapour levels involved in hu...

[quote="GumbyCT"]No, I am sleeping pretty good these days. How bout you? I hope you found time to pick up some distilled water. That well water contains alot of minerals & will leave deposits - not to mention if it contains any bacteria for you to inhale. I was shocked to find you have not had a hum...

Re: Distilled water for humidifier?

[quote="GagReflex"]It suggests I use distilled water in my humidifier, so off I went to the chemist/pharmacist and grabbed a bottle. It states on the bottle "not for Human consumption" and "not to be used in theraputic devices". At this point I asked the pharamacist if this was ok for a CPAP humidif...

If you say so because I have no reason to doubt you. I assume your buyer was another satisfied Ford customer. You're not still staying up late at night watching and waiting to get a glimpse of your old Ford to return are you?

Re: Respironics M Series Pro CPAP with C-Flex - DS400"

I just sold MY Ford - I was up all that night- peeking out the window - Afraid he would just bring it back! Wanna buy some tires for it? ps. It does have two-tone paint. ha I would have sold the vehicle as is and stated such on a bill of sale and I would have also stated there was no implied warran...

> is one particular brand better than another? Is a Ford better than a Chevy? I'm not trying to be smart, only pointing out that there are differences, but there are also similarities. I'm surprised that more people don't use FF masks. For those who can't breathe through their nose on a permanent b...

Finding a full face mask... or asking for suggestions on one is a very subjective thing. What works for somebody else might not work for you. Well let me ask you this, is one particular brand better than another? For example are full face masks by Resmed better than masks by Respironics or Fisher &...

Re: Respironics M Series Pro CPAP with C-Flex - DS400"

I'm beginning to get more comfortable using the Respironics DS400S CPAP machine I received earlier this week and next week I'm scheduled to go to the DME to pick up new CPAP supplies. I told the RT the other day when she delivered the machine that I have developed some mouth breathing issues within ...

Re: Respironics M Series Pro CPAP with C-Flex - DS400"

I'll admit that the DS400S is loud, much louder than my 9 year old Sullivan CPAP which in time I'll be able to get use to since my ears ring like crazy all night long and the machine's sound helps to drown out those crickets in the field I hear all night unless I have some kind of white noise going ...

Has she gotten use to that sound? I don't know if I will or not but I don't think I have much choice since I have the machine now and used it for the first time last night. It must be the C-Flex because my old Sullivan straight CPAP doesn't make that kind of noise. I certainly missed the sound of my...

Re: Respironics M Series Pro CPAP with C-Flex - DS400"

I'm glad your situation worked out as well because if mine hadn't I was running out of DME's. DME #3 was my last DME to work with and fortunately everything managed to work itself out. I used the new machine for the first time last night, the blue lights on the top glowing in the dark didn't bother ...

Thanks again for the post. I've noticed several other members have also view my thread but unlike you have chosen not to post. For whatever it's worth what I was able to accomplish after these past several months in my opinion was substantial given the facts as I posted earlier.
