I notice the smell has dissipated by the morning too. I tend to use more drops than it says too but I try to be careful not to use it all up too soon. I seem to remember the directions saying it only lasts about and hour or so anyway which makes sense.

My machine is on the left..and I switch the mask around from right to left so I don't lean too heavily on one side all the time.

I was having that problem, waking up at 3:30 every single morning. But I've been on a prescription cough syrup every night for 2 weeks and that hasn't happened anymore LOL. I don't know if I will go back to the 3:30 thing once I"m off the meds or not.

And I had to go and read up on it cause I got curious....OH MY GOD that doesn't sound like fun at all.

I don't like to use Afrin because of the possible rebound effects. I went through too much to clean my sinuses out to let them get swollen LOL. But luckily they didn't swell up at all this time. I've had a runny nose (and yeah it's tired too lol!) but not even that bad.
