heating pad fire
I applaud your resourcefulness on the heating pad, but just have to give a note of warning. There was a recent death of an 88 year old woman in my area caused by a faulty heating pad overheating and causing a fire. " Heating pad started fire; death cause uncertain September 27, 2007 By Jeff Starck W...

afraid to sleep
I was also afraid to fall asleep before I was on CPAP. Maybe it was a survival instinct, afraid that falling asleep, I may not wake up. I spent most nights in front of the TV, and if I dared to sleep, it was always in the upright position. Thank god for the TV, as it was my constant companion, helpi...

Rested Gal, I was able to get all of the efficacy data with no problems! Thanks for you input. I may have missed that info from the RT when I had gotten my machine. I was given over 1.5 hours with her to explain the machine and get fitted for the mask, and I am sure I could have forgotten her tellin...

If you want to access the data w/o the worry of accidentally changing any of your therapy settings it is just as easy to press the Left and Right buttons, hold for 3-4 seconds and that will take you to the Efficacy and Usage data menus where you can't change anything. Thanks Slinky, I have been won...

I checked out your site, its quite nice, but the accuracy of the map was off by 1000 miles or more. I am in the middle of Wisconsin, and it had a map of Washington DC. Once I put my zip code (postal code) in, it brought up Wisconsin and their sleep clinics. I have added your site to my favorites to ...

Switching sides is very easy. No problem with mask coming off or losing seal. The hose on the mask can be switched to either side, so I have mine on the side that the CPAP machine is placed on, and if I roll over on my other side, I have just been taking up the hose slack and pulling it with me as I...

I have the swift II, and a newbie to this CPAP stuff. Just been using it since thursday. I have been able to sleep over 8 hours, and been very happy with the mask. I was originally fitted with full face, and had such a bad claustrophobic feeling with it, my RT had me try this swift II. It was 1000% ...

How do you turn off Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage?
I just started on Thursday, and have been doing better than I thought. Just have a question on CPAP machine. What do I do when I am not using machine. I can't find an on/off switch, and if I leave it plugged in, there is a very small, steady air flow out of hose. Do I unplug it all the time? Can I l...
