Heh heh. Yeah I'm sure there are tons of ways one could DIY something cozy without needing to know how to knit or sew. :)

Re: Hose covers on heated hoses?

You know, that's true. It's not something I talk about much. I actually don't even think about it much except right before sleeping.

Re: Remember me? I'm back on CPAP. Let's catch up!

Well I'm pretty much a hermit and I rarely leave the house even when there isn't a pandemic. So I don't know how my fellow Pennsylvanians were coping with the suspense. But as for me and my partner, we were on tenterhooks, just waiting to see what the final count would be.

Re: Hose covers on heated hoses?

Thank you for confirming what I was pretty sure I knew. Sometimes you just want another opinion as a sanity check. And I don't know anyone in real life that is on CPAP.

Re: Hose covers on heated hoses?

Thank you, Pugsy!

I have a ResMed machine with its accompanying heated hose. I should be fine. I think I'll sew one up tomorrow.

Hose covers on heated hoses?

I searched through old posts and didn't find much on this topic, so I thought I'd start a quick thread. Hope I'm not resurrecting some dead old argument... Back in the day, before heated hoses, we used to make or buy hose covers for our hoses. Mine were made of fleece and I used them year round to p...

Re: Remember me? I'm back on CPAP. Let's catch up!

Hey there! Since we're chatting in PMs I won't readdress all of that again, but you do raise a slightly different question here and it's possible that my comments could help someone else. I was diagnosed with CFS in 2009 after my regular doctor (that I had seen since the late 1990s) ran a bunch of b...

Re: Aerophagia No More!

I thought I'd report in on my experience with my technique in combatting aerophagia. Recap: I was on cpap from 2007 to 2010 and had aerophagia then, only when sleeping on my right side. In recent years, while not on cpap, I began to have aerophagia when sleeping on my right side. I read something ab...

Re: OT: Discussion about COVID 19 if you have had it or think you might have it

My daughter got very sick the middle of December. She does have asthma which I'm sure made it even worse. When her fever spiked to 102, and she was having great difficulty breathing, we took her to the hospital. They tested her for the flu, not Covid-19, because no one was talking about it in Decem...

Re: Concern Over Sleep Apnea and Coronavirus Transmission

Since there are SO many other routes of transmission in the home setting--this virus is extremely contagious--I think it would be prudent to continue your CPAP therapy. A single uncovered cough or sneeze will do the same thing. And as for the two week quarantine, one of the early cruise ship victims...

I keep checking the "professional menu" every day. It has never said anything but 11.1 for me.

Re: Aerophagia No More!

I thought this might be an appropriate place to put this observation: I suffered from aerophagia even when NOT on cpap (especially when sleeping on my right side). I read something about neck position contributing to aerophagia. I naturally tend to sleep curled up with neck curved, face angled towar...

Could the aforementioned "cleaning machine" be a UV sterilizer? Just curious.

Re: DME forced to send me an SD card! HA!

PapMom, Wow. I am surprised that people are going back that far in the archives. I do know that I am contacted about once a year about my old posts. Humbling. I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember a lot about this topic. My memory is terrible--likely from the combination of depression and the rece...
