My original titration was CPAP at 11 cm. I managed to get an auto
and my pressure has settled between 8 and 9.
I tried CPAP at eleven, as prescribed, but the aerophagia was horrible.
Lucky I'm not taking the prescription as an absolute reference, or I would have given up long ago.

I just got the same E-Mail. Add North Carolina to the list. It's a damn shame, too. I was very happy with their service and support. At least I've got my machine and mask though. I'll probably need nothing but filters for a while. If anyone from BillMyInsurance is reading this, thanks for what it wa...

I was thinking about this post on the way to work this morning, and I had a thought.. (yes, really!) A couple "well hidden" places where you might develop a whistle might be the filter holder on the back of the machine, the rubber junction between the machine and the humidifier, and possibly even th...

I've had my M series auto for almost a year. I have had occasional whistling due to mask leaks, but the main machine has been pretty quiet. Now that my headrest is modified, I don't have many mask leaks at all to deal with. I have asked my wife if the machine makes too much noise, she says it's a LO...

Unlike some other sites, this site allows anyone to post, whether they are "registered" or not. Also whether they "sign in" or not. If someone posts without signing in, they cannot be "positively identified", but the board can guess, IF it recognizes your I.P. information from a previous post. At le...

Sorry I missed it.. I was half expecting a "specialty" site offering pictures of women wearing nothing but a CPAP mask.. A little titration never hurt anyone.. Wow, that sucks.. No, actually, that blows.. Aw come on folks, am I the only one here that wears an appliance to bed every night? Yes, I've ...

I'm a long time waterbed user, and won't give it up for anything. A few years ago we upgraded to a "soft sided" split queen. Advantage: Looks like a regular matress, takes regular sheets. The "split" means we can fill each side separately, and heat each side separately, too. Disadvantage: The "Pillo...

As you mentioned, all Auto machines are capable of straight CPAP as well, so the ability to test your ideas is there. If you do, I encourage you to work slowly, perhaps a week or two between each change, to allow yourself to adjust to the difference, and to prevent one bad night from skewing your da...

Wearing my Jakstrap on my head
OK, I thought that subject line might get a laugh.. I have been using a headrest/twilight/aura for about six months, and I have finally decided to make my own headgear. I've read all the posts that were kindly organized by RG, but I did mine just a bit differently. I simply slid the frame out of the...
