Same story. I eventually turned off the ramp, but I bounce between 2 and 3 for cflex, depending on how I'm doing. The OptiLife works much better with the exhalation relief on than not.

Arrived in LAS just fine. The TSA agent asked me to open the case and send it through separate like my laptop, and they swabbed it and returned it. Piece of cake.

Now if I can just find some distilled water without withering in the 105 degree heat!

I travel frequently for business as well. Tomorrow is my first trip since starting therapy, SEA to LAS. Next week: another trip. SEA to ONT. I'll let you know.

I did my second sleep study with the Swift mask, but when I picked up my machine the RT had me try several different masks. I went home with the OptiLife and have been quite happy with it. I did suffer some discomfort around my nostrils the first couple of weeks, but it went away and I haven't had a...

About 8 weeks in for me, and I'm still waiting for the "light switch moment". I will say that I'm a lot less weary during the day (most of the time) and for me it's a combination of keeping the mask comfortable but not too tight, and actually making the lifestyle change of going to bed on time... (w...

I have a Breeze/Dreamseal assembly that I use when I just have to give my abused nostrils a break, but I have been having leak issues with it. It works for the most part, though, and I think tonight I'll use that one.

My first bad night

I'm coming up on a couple months now and everything seems to be working out--getting better sleep (even if not enough hours of it) and my numbers are, in the words of my sleep physician, "outstanding" (the last four weeks none of my nightly numbers were over 0.9). Last night I had the first really b...

I'm of similar bent, but it's the pump noise rather than the lights that I notice at night. However, my lovely wife is sensitive to the extra photons, so after the first night with the machine sitting on my headboard I went looking for a way to turn the lights off, and had the same lack of success a...

As you can see, regular mowing of my face is not a high priority for me either... My regular mask is a nasal pillow type, so it's not a big deal. My backup mask is a nasal type, and while I do have some leak issues, most of them are around my eyes, not my facial hair. Even without regular shaving, p...

Indeed.

For those of us still measuring our assimilation in weeks, it's heartening to see folks sticking with it and making it work. Here's to many more sleepful nights!

A few years ago I tried qigong (a simplified form of taiji) and really enjoyed it, but it was at my current employer and when I changed jobs I fell out of practice. About a year ago I found a shudokan dojo run by the same master who was in charge of the style I studied as a kid, so I jumped back in....

I've been training in shudokan karate 2-3 times a week for a bit over a year now. I haven't lost any weight yet (...) but my wind and endurance has improved immensely. I'm hoping that now that I'm a few weeks into therapy I'll have more energy to step up my exertions. In fact, I passed a milestone o...

sharon1965: I had scratch tests and the full range of shots as a child, and went back for more scratch tests a few years ago to see if anything had changed. I get more good than not from the OTC meds, but which one works changes each season; go figure. And yes, the blockage alternates, depending upo...

Allergy season! Wabbit season! oh, wait...

It's that time of year again. That Awful Yellow Stuff is in full bloom along every highway median and in all the green belts, and the cottonwood fluff makes it look like I should go out and build a snowman. I'm taking a 24-hour OTC allergy med every morning, and squirting a prescription antihistamin...
