Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

Re: Neck problems

what about your pillow? I had chronic neck problems for awhile that even had me visiting the hospital with numb arms (they thought it was meningitis). Finally realized that my pillow was too flat. I sleep on my side and my neck was bending too far. Slept on two pillows and that fixed the problem, so...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

Been ages since I've visited this forum, but back then there didn't seem to be too many people on the mask as long as me so I'll chime in too. I've actually lost track of what year I was diagnosed with OSA, but it was somewhere around 12 years ago or so. I was the worst that the sleep center had eve...

I gave up on my breeze 3 times over the course of oh, maybe 6 months before I realized that I had to have them adjusted much less tightly than seemed necessary. The bellows design of nasal pillows is there to allow a seal with out being forced against your nose. When fit correctly, it seems too loos...

This is a trick I used for years, but I realized that the heating pad was inflating as it heated up. Never did that before, but after a lot of use it developed some sort of gas pressure inside that made it useless for normal use, and I decided that it probably wasn't a good idea to use on the cpap. ...

Just used mine for the first time last night. Heaven! I ordered mine from cpapusa. They get it from the same company in Oz, but I paid less money and didn't have the over-seas charge either.

Very well done. I had to chuckle a little at the splash screen saying he stopped breathing 10 times in one night! I wish I was so lucky! LOL I had 70 events per hour ! with a blood oxy of %70. I had no clue it was happening either because I was so dang exhausted. How I survived/endured for so long i...

I had what I was told was a used Devilbiss Horizon II for 10 years before I finally caught up with technology with a new machine. It actually still works, it's just loud, and out of date.

I made a two rings about 1/8" thick or so, and then flattened them out a bit, and stretched them to make the center hole large enough to fit around the end of the pillow. The idea is to have the silicone ring at the point where your nostrils make contact with the pillows. I simply made them wide eno...

it seems sad and wrong for Turkeys to condone the sacrifice of another animal in order to save them selves... For shame Turkeys! If it's alright to eat Ham, then it's alright to eat Turkey!

Or better yet both.

Mack's is what I used. $3.99 for a set of 4 at Walgreens. I only used about 1/4 of 1 plug to make both rings, so the small package should last a good long time. Btw, it will stick to you the first time you use it, but just be careful removing it and it should stay on the mask. By the second use, it ...

Same here. The leak rate was low, but sometimes the noise or the draft was annoying. I am also sleeping better, so maybe it was bothering me more than I realized. I never had a problem comfort-wise before, but I have to admit that they are really, really comfortable now!

Another use for the silicone putty

I read a thread a few days ago regarding using silicone putty earplugs to fashion a better seal for face masks. It seemed to me that might be just the thing for my twilight np mask as well. My nares are long slots instead of the ideal round shape so nasal pillows don't fit quite as well as they coul...
