Re: Should Guests Be allowed to Post?

Assuming most guests who post have been recently diagnosed with sleep apnoea, I think they should be allowed to post as guests. This keeps the whole process as uncomplicated as possible for them if they are in a real fog.

Re: Cortisol flood, MVP & such things

I've had these type of symptoms when i've overdone the caffeine, and also during menopause, the onset of which is easily detected with a blood test, as is any thyroid problem. I also had panic attacks in my twenties, which were purely physical in nature. In fact my mind seemed a lot cooler and calme...

new pillow idea (side sleeper)

Hi all, You know those "wheat bags" of various shapes and sizes that you heat in the microwave and use as heat packs? I've just had some very comfortable nights with improved stats using a selection of these (unheated) under my head. I use my thinning down pillow as a base, then a biggish oblong pan...

Re: Newbie from Australia saying Hi.

Hi Jon, Another Aussie here saying "Welcome to the boards". As you say, there is a wealth of info here. Thanks to coming here from day 1 I found settling into my new cpap life ...fairly!...smooth. Getting the mask comfortable and effective is crucial. My centre is SJOG, and I find the RTs there extr...

Re: please help!

Very hot water doesn't work in my experience. too much rainout. Try wrapping your hose up well in whatever you can find - bandages, ladies hosiery/socks with the toes cut off, sleeves, tubigrip, threaded on the hose and use elastic bands (put the elastic bands on the hose first, and fix the covers a...

Re: Are many of you needlessly using a humidifier ?

When I started Cpap, the sleep tec told me to increase the humidity because of fluttering mouth exhalations which woke me up (I think she called it "puffing" or "flapping" or something). She did give a convincing physiological explanation for dry air being the cause of the problem, but I forget it n...
