Re: Sleepyhead or Other Software System One 60 Series?

Hi All, I'm trying to install Encore Basic on my Win 7 64 bit machine and the installer is giving the error "Error1920.Service Smart Card", something about not being able to start it. Clicking on the "Retry" button provided doesn't help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've tried runn...

My Respironics Auto tended to stay at full pressure when I used the Remstar full face mask. For some reason the full face would show very high snore index. When I switched to the Swift nasal interface the pressure readings stopped maxing out and varied throughout the night. Also snore index dropped ...

I had to go to 4 different labs before the correct diagnosis was made. Of course this was about 5 years ago. At least around here, the labs were just getting set up and most didn't have a clue how to do a proper sleep study. I persisted and finally one got it right and found I had moderate apnea. Th...

I had the same problem with my full face mask. Snore index was always in the hundreds, dropped to 30 with the Swift interface. My theory was that I didn't worry too much about keeping my mouth closed with the full face mask. So I probably snored much louder when I did snore, plus the big mask probab...

I've been using the product shown in the following link, and other similar ones. One kind of made me sneaze, so I switched to another which I think is called Simply Saline (its a gel as well). I used to get the sore, specifically in my right nostril, right were most of the air blows out of the nasal...

Here's my layman's version of it as I recall reading it somewhere. Since some apnea's (not sure if all apnea's) are caused by the muscles in the airway relaxing and helping to block the airway... Xanax can worsen the apnea's since it tends to relax the muscles. Supposedly there are some other meds t...

I had this problem with my FF mask. My Snore index was like over 200 so the machine tended to run full blast.

When I switched to the Swift my snore index dropped really low (less than 40 I think, haven't checked in a while), and I also was able to run at lower pressure.

Wondering, I used to get massive panic attacks during the day, and wake up in the middle of the night in panic - not knowing what the reason was (blocked airway at night obviously). Over the years I was given anxiety medications which alleviated it, anti-depressants - even though I never really felt...

Raising the temperature on my humidifier helped my sinuses a lot. When I went from a full face mask to the swift I started feeling more of a "burn" or pain around the inner edge of my nostrils due to the swift expanding and touching sesitive areas near the the opening of the nostril. I found that us...

Encore Pro upgrades

Hi everybody, Due to a problem with my PC I am having to re-install Encore Pro from scratch. However I went to the link to download the updates for it and now its password protected. It's kind of silly that we are sold the software but yet can't get updates for it. Is there an alternate source for t...

I like mine, have to refluff nightly because of the two appendages filling going back into the mail pillow area.

Maybe on a future version they'll do those two appendages so that they are stuffed separately and then sewn to the main section.

As a side note regarding my experience. With a full face mask the machine showed almost continous snoring, huge snore index. And the machine tended to max out the pressure based on this. With the Swift mask the snore index dropped to very low levels. And my pressure is more accurately controlled now.

I have no problems with side sleeping. I tend to sleep on my left side, so I just moved the hose over to the right side of the interface (it is interchangeable). But even when I do turn to the hose side, its not a major problem. as long as you have a tall pillow that lets the hose hang off the side....
