Re: Card Read Failure

It appears I FINALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM - It turned out to be a bad memory card. Services.exe tended to get loaded into the same general memory location, and was crashing due to some bad memory, thus Encore Pro would not see the card reader, no matter what I did as to installation. I have removed my ...

Re: Card Read Failure

Also, sorry if I was rude, thank you Mindy and Jules. I have been using Encore Pro and jskinners Encore Pro Analyzer for so long I take for granted it will work. My first thought when it didn't work this time was to blame the hardware, so I bought a new reader. I hate messing with software, even if ...

Re: Card Read Failure

Thanks, Den I just rattled my IT guy's tilt phone with an e-mail, he has kept me and my computer messed up all day, between my card reader problems and his update of Kerio which has crashed my e-mail, leaving me stuck with web mail. I'm ready to make him fix it and call it a day. I'll post whatever ...

Re: Card Read Failure

I have an older cflex, not aflex unit, and every thing was working fine as of last download, 10/7/2008. I'm trying to figure out when SP3 was installed, but no luck so far.

Re: Card Read Failure

SP3 - Hmmm?? would have been done by my IT guy, can't say when it was installed, but it's possible that it's the problem. Is there a log somewhere on the machine as to when it was installed? I'll start looking.

I know the routine, but can't seem to connect to card anymore after all working for months. Services show SQL db as "started", Smartcard in automatic, but not started . If i b...

Card Read Failure

I have been using Encore Pro since 2005. Upgraded to 1.6.22 when I got an M series as my travel machine. Last week I went to do my monthly download (I use 4 cards) and I get errors. "Reader not detected" or "Can't connect to the device" Services show smartcard reader not started, when...

Unwanted SQL Synchronize ARRG!

I've searched the forum and can't find this, so forgive me if someone else has covered this. I have EncorePro 1.6.22 on my laptop, which is set up for two users, my business self and my personal self. Whenever I connect to the internet or any network, the SQL engine wants to synchronize my files to ...

M series Questions

I currently have a REMstar auto and am planning to purchase a M series Auto for travel/backup 1. Does the DC cord for the old unit fit the new one? 2. Do I need to upgrade the software (I'll have to check my other computer to see which version I have - What version do I need?) 3. Can I upgrade the s...

The "error" is actually what happens when My Encore opens the database and does not find any data, or only finds compliance data such as from a RemStar Pro (not a Pro2 ). If you download some data into the database using Encore Pro, then you can start and use My Encore.

I had a 1 day download and did an additional download but still no go - I have a desktop with almost the same setup and it works fine - even with only a days worth of data. I believe this error comes from the dot.net framework - If you do a search on the web, you'll find lots of people with this pro...

Derek is on vacation, but is aware that I have the same error on one of my computers. I would send him a PM and let him know the particular details of your system so when he gets back he can take a look at the problem. I believe it has to do with the dot-net framework looking for a DLL it can't find...

Fred - you know you posted a "smart media card" reader, not a "smart card" reader, right? There is a difference, my camera uses smart media, my cpap uses a smart card. I make no assumptions about something being overpriced, but in this case, given compareables, I wouldn't doubt it. I think buyer bew...

Good point, as usual RG - My battery /solar panel will keep going for a long time off grid - probably until the dark days of winter here in Orygun. Although, even in winter another 20 watts of solar would likely do it. I wish a cpap mfg would come out with battery-powered ultrasonic humidifier - the...
