Re: What's Going On With The Forum

Bummer... First post in quite some time, but sorry to hear there are the typical spammers hitting here... I'm trying to get a friend who is newly diagnosed to come aboard, so I'll have to tell her to be careful. As an update -- I'm doing well. I've been compliant 10 years now, so like after my first...

Re: 4 months into cpap, experiencing a lot of emotions.

Dude, roll with it... It sounds like the "real you" is cool and you should embrace him. I've been doing this routine for going on 7 years now (I think... I get my medicare on Saturday so my brain is...well, you know) and a few of the things you've described happened to me and I love it. You're not t...

Dealing with VA, and other nightmares

I have to rely on the VA for medical coverage these days. It's not as bad as some make it out to be, but it can be extremely maddening. They will NOT accept any previous diagnosis or treatment without VA validation. It took them 9 months to confirm I had ADD where my "Real Psychologist" took 6 weeks...

Re: Still smelling hotel room

I am a long time user of the Pur-Sleep products. The aromatherapy oils will cover any bad smell that your machine picks up. The only thing I've heard of that NOTHING can get around is tobacco smoke. Once it's in the machine it's there.... The only night of non-compliance for me (except the 6 nights ...

Re: Does "Sleep Debt" really exist?

It did for me -- I started on Auto CPAP in 2007 (I think).... For about the first 3-4 months after I started I slept 10-12 hours every night -- prior to that if I got 6 hours I was happy but in those 6 hours who knows how much rest I got due to OSA.... I can say that after over 5 years, I feel a who...

Re: Viet Nam Vets and Agent Orange

Wow. May 30 2009....it's been awhile. To update my own "conditions".... Not much has changed on the foot issue. I tried the witch hazel and it did provide some temporary relief and is a whole lot cheaper than the spray foot crap that I was using. I cannot wear shoes and socks at all anymore. When I ...

Re: Rest in Peace

Wow!!! Two years. It seems like only yesterday, and this thread was still a hard read two years later..... Even though I have been quite preoccupied lately, I think of CPAPtalk and Snoredog often. Not having seen anything further from either Cristen or "Snorepup" (Ali), I can only assume that, as an...

Re: ResMed Attacks Internet Suppliers

But I'm the worst kind....a quitter. Well not a quitter, a stopper (mentally more palatable ). I always said I'd stop w...
