Re: Does Sleep Apnea make you Angry?

It's been a long time since I've been on this site. I got so frustrated w/ my slow and unsteady improvements on cpap that I sat back for awhile and used by cpap every single night and observed myself and tried everything I could think of to improve my mental and physical function. I moved to CA and ...

Re: Anyone glad they were diagnosed?

OH YEAH! I was. Same thoughts most of you had. There really is a reason I can only sit around in a fog waiting to die of old age. I was put on cpap 3/2008, with some improvement. Moved to CA in 8/2008 and was still fatigued so checked out a new doc. She though my nighttime SATS were too low so she o...

High Blood Pressure

I have been on blood pressure meds since 2001. Got my cpap 3/2007 and was worried about my meds bringing my bp down too low so I initiated a visit to my GP and asked her to look at my bp and she cut my meds by half. Went back in 5/07 and she cut them by half again. Went back in July and they were cu...

Anger and frustration

Oregon

Wow - that would be a nasty side effect of cpap therapy. I had not heard that before but now I will be aware. I do not fall asleep while driving so I must have answered that w/ a no - so maybe I am safe from the DMV.

Thanks for alerting us Oregonians.

a "side effect" of CPAP treatment

Yes, I too found some disturbing side effects of cpap therapy. I have been on it since Feb 26, 2007 and have been dealing w/ outbursts of anger and up and down emotions that remind me of my early teenage years. I wasn't prepared for this and hope it will even out in time as I get more used to my "ne...

8 Hours of sleep

Kathy, Congratulations and so good of you to share with the rest of us your good news. As rested gal said: "You do such a great job with encouragement and good advice for new cpap users." You do. Thanks from a new cpap user. I don't have any feedback yet on my sleep data - but I am sleeping! and dre...

Thanks for all the information, encouragement and friendship. I'm learning a lot from you folks. Didn't know my nasal pillow was one of the noisiest masks around - darn ! My only other exposure to a different mask was a nasal mask during titration study and it leaked so bad and my jaw dropped open s...
