Free Swift LT nasal pillows

I ordered a new ResMed Swift LT headgear. It comes with one small, one medium, and one large nasal pillow. I use only the medium. If you use Swift LT nasal pillows (not Swift FX) and you need either a large or small nasal pillow, please send me a private message and I will mail it to you. They just ...

Bumping...

You are right, Barb. It would probably be a pain to get full data from it. I just used the limited data from the LCD screen plus how I felt in terms of lack of OSA symptoms.

We'll see if anyone needs it over the next couple of days.

Free APAP for someone without insurance

I have a used S8 ResMed AutoSet machine that I no longer use. I would be glad to send it to someone who needs a machine and does not have insurance. I retired it in November of 2013 and it has been sitting unused since then. The machine has 8,840 blower hours on it, and comes with a heated humidifie...

Re: Reg. Swift FX or FX for Her for a woman?

Thanks, chunkeyfrog. Does anyone know if the pillow sizes in the FX are about the same as the LT? If I use a M in the LT, should I expect to use a M in the FX or is the sizing different?

Reg. Swift FX or FX for Her for a woman?

The only difference I see is the the regular FX comes with S, M, and L pillows and the FX for Her comes with XS, S, and M. I have a small head and face. Currently use the Swift LT, but have to use the M pillows as the S are too small. Any advise about which FX I should get? Is there any other differ...

Re: Should I get another sleep study?

Our cpap needs can change at any time and for many reasons. These smart machines allow us to monitor our progress and make adjustments as needed. Unfortunately, the doctors and clinics are often only interested in if the machine is being used, enough hours so that they continue to be paid - NOT how...

Got it, Den -- thanks. No, you did not come on too strong. I just needed more explanation.

And thanks to palerider.

Re: Should I get another sleep study?

zoocrewphoto -- Thanks Den -- what do you mean by, "Using an Auto CPAP machine in a range of pressures is like driving a car without a speedometer." Do you mean via the software I need to find the best pressure and use my APAP as a CPAP on that one pressure? I've hear others advocate that, but would...

Re: Should I get another sleep study?

Well I just answered my own question. SleepyHead Wiki says, "SleepyHead works on Linux, Mac 10.6.x and above, and Windows XP and above." I'll give it a try, but would still be glad to hear from others about another sleep study. Also, would be glad to hear from Mac users how user friendly SleepyHead ...

Re: Should I get another sleep study?

OK, I hear you about the software. But I am, ahem, technologically challenged. Pre-Sleepyhead when I had a previous APAP, the software was not easily compatible with Apple. I have a MacBook laptop. Is Sleepyhead compatible without me having to do all kinds of technology somersaults?

Should I get another sleep study?

I was diagnosed with mild to moderate OSA in 2006 and have been successful on CPAP therapy since then. For the past few months, I have been falling asleep frequently during evening TV viewing. That hasn't happened to me, other than occasionally, since I started CPAP. Less than a year ago I had open ...

Re: Resmed problem?

Do you know what the pressure range is on your machine? If it is wide open (i.e., 4 - 20), it could be spiking up to a high pressure when it detects an apnea event and that spike wakes you. You can ask your DME about the pressure setting. You can view the settings by following instructions in the ma...
