Re: OT: Losing a Parent

I believe my Dad had sleep apnea and was too much of a man to do anything. He passed away June 17th and I'm still feeling it.... ** This is basically what I tried to choke out # : ) at the funeral: "We only die once, but for such a long time." I was expecting grief - but not guilt. I thought I had f...

I hate to sound like a broken record: But cut out as much sugar and carbs as you can! The more sugar I eat; the more I HAVE to have. I mean, like a drug addict. I wish I had learned in my teens what I learned in my 40's about insulin. Insulin is the taxi cab that escorts the sugar into the cells. -Bev

Isn't it gut wrenching to watch a loved one suffer? Especially something basically preventable. My dad has COPD and related issues from smoking most of his life. He was in the Navy for 20 years and cigarettes were a little cheaper to get on the base. What a bargain, huh...my mom and my siblings get ...

I love it when due to allergies I need to take Benadryl !

It makes me delightfully sleepy. I can't take it unless I need to or it dries me out.

I don't get to take it that often because my allergy shots do a good job of controlling my sniffles.

Could you do it during the day and you're possibly too busy to notice? I did this much more before CPAP treatment. Shallow breathing, non breathing. The last thing you need is to deprive yourself of oxygen during the day, too! # : ( A guy with Apnea at work did the same thing and his Dr. told him: "...

When I first got my stuff, I washed everything a lot.

How exhausting. Now I go months in between cleanings.

I run my hose dry every morning.
It NEVER dried completely otherwise.

I figured drying the hose in my busy bathroom would introduce way more germs to the hose.

One of my main complaints before diagnosis was Insomnia. Insomnia for me was: Waking up sweaty Nightmares Waking up with numb hands or arms One of the weirdest things that happened at night was it seemed like I woke up suddenly in the middle of a scene where my dream was projected on the wall. Bizar...

I wake up multiple times a night, too.
It's annoying.

I guess the humble approach would be that at LEAST now I wake up a few times a night.

I used to "dose off" a few times a night.

I'm glad at Food Services of America the WA State Patrol cut us a break by eventually letting us pass through where other trucks and cars were barricaded out.

I'm glad we sell Attends and food and not balloons!

$$$$$$$

$3,616 and I had to pay for every penny of it.

I had a $7,250 deductible.
Now I have a $5,250 deductible. *ouch
