I already wear a combination night guard/retainer. I sure notice I clench my teeth a lot more when there is any extra pressure any where at all around my mouth. That's a sure sign I need to loosen up my straps. Usually it's after I've washed it and I didn't get it put together like it was before. -Bev

I can realte!

It took me 66 nights to sleep 6 whole hours in a row. When I have problems getting to sleep - Ambien has been a lifesaver. Just knowing I have some on my counter "just in case" makes me feel better. Thank goodness regular Ambien (cheaper 'cause it's gone generic) usually does the trick for me. Once ...

I waffle but mostly I think it's a pain in the ass and I am in complete denial about using it the rest of my life. It's a good thing I had such severe symptoms or I would have launched $$$ it into a bon fire. I still think weight loss and or surgery will save me. One of the guys at work said: "Don't...

Yes!

MMM, I did get a few misc. leg cramps but my MAIN complaint was body wide severe muscle aches and pains. Doctor said muscles are very unhappy when they're deprived of oxygen. It took 6 months of effective CPAP use - but my muscles are so much better now. My co-worker got severe, stabbing leg pains t...

Hi everyone*** I'm doing great! My size 12 pants are loose. I'm still on a lower carb diet and by that I mean I try to stay under 100 grams of sugar a day. # : ( (Stupid Mochas) I still treadmill morning and night. I don't care if I can only afford 8 minutes or 12 minutes; I do what I can. Gets my b...

I slept 6 whole hours (wow) on my 66th night with the CPAP.

I hear, live, and feel your frustration.

I'm still in denial about having to use this thing on my head, up my nose, and dangling from my body every night.

Makes me want to cuss like a truck driver in the Navy.

This thread is really helping. Even though I'm busy at work, I'm constantly thinking of everyone else's struggle and I feel your silent support. And, I'm sure countless people can relate to what we're going through even though they don't have time to log in and be heard. I've always had a vane reaso...

Forgot to add...

One other thing that helped me so much and greatly reduced my acid reflux and heartburn problem was I try not to eat too late. I feel my best when I don't eat after 5 or 6 P.M. I realized that most of the nutritional annihilation I do happens in the evening. You know the kind: Binging, mindless eati...

I used to think the same thing, Chris. When you're first put into this Sleep Apnea world you have so many issues that come up 24 hours a day. I also used to think the live chatters hit the hay early until I realized that some people lived in locations that were hours ahead of me. When I see Pada; Re...

aaronp, Isn't that annoying!? I can be delightfully drowsy UNTIL I have to put my %@$# gear on. Downright ticks me off. That's my saying: "I used to suffer from Sleep Apnea, now I suffer from CPAPnea." And then I remind my self that suffering from severe insomnia; depression and muscle aches and pai...

Two bits more

Here's what I've learned about dieting over the last 44 years: I used to think it was only about the almighty calorie. Now I know this: There's only one way for your body to process and metabolize sugar and carbohydrates and that is to release insulin. (aka "the fat hormone") The more sugar/carbohyd...

My trick for gas

This is what I've done when I have that dreadfully painful gas that just won't exit: Get on all fours with your rear end jacked up in the air. Rock around a little. Be patient. It works almost every time for me. It's very difficult to pull off at work. # : ) I would just die if my husband ever saw t...
