I inherited an Aircurve 10 ASV - can it be programmed to operate solely as an APAP?

I cannot finagle it to function as a basic APAP -- like my Airsense 10 apap -- without the inhalation and exhalation adjustments.

Advance thanks to anyone who can assist!

Re: Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and RSV Vaccine

In the brief amount of research that I did, the GSK RSV vaccine reportedly protects against two RSV variants, plus it has an adjuvant. Thinking that was the better choice, I hunted around to find it. Publix was the only local option for GSK; everywhere else had Pfizer. About 6 hours later, my should...

Re: Cervical Collar & Much Higher AHI

Cervical collars can be less comfortable for side-sleepers b/c the side of the collar pushes into your neck. This can cause you to shift to your back, thereby triggering interruptions. As someone who needs to sleep on his side, the only collar that I found that I can use is the old Dr. Dakota style....

Re: Airsense 11 humdifier fix?

Exactly. I guess the others who responded haven't owned both A10 and A11; the difference in humidifier capacity is obvious. Your reasoning as to why makes sense. Thank you. The DME said Resmed was keenly aware of the problem (this I believe) and that they were working on a fix (this I'm not so sure ...

Re: Airsense 11 humdifier fix?

It's not something I'm holding my breath on. If no one here knows anything, then I doubt anything is imminent. I'll scare up an A10. It also has the swivel hose connector that I prefer.

Re: Airsense 11 humdifier fix?

Thank you. They aren't the same size, though. If filled to "max" line, the A10 has more space. If I fill A11 to max line it often spills when I move to insert it into A11. Reducing the humidifier capacity is in part how Resmed was able to reduce the size of the A11 slightly. If I don't fill the A11 ...

Airsense 11 humdifier fix?

I am a huge Resmed fan and I am very disappointed with the ill-conceived humidifier in the A11. Not only is it too small, but it spills when filling, leaving marks on my wooden bedside table. What a derp, Resmed. You managed to take a BIG step backward. I'm looking to get a new machine for a second ...

Re: Sleeping Inclined And AHI Numbers

I worry that the legs being at uneven heights might destabilize the bed frame somewhat. Also, my bed has support legs in the middle of the bed frame and you would need risers at their height (2" and 1"?). I never figured out how to make this work. The risers themselves work well -- I use 3" risers o...

Re: Sleeping Inclined And AHI Numbers

I use the full-length 7" mattress elevator shown here https://www.avanacomfort.com/mattress-elevator.html ...? I initially put it on a cheap bed frame that has thin metal slats that were spaced six or so inches apart. The wedge is a fairly rigid foam and the foam was pushing through the space betwee...

Re: Sleeping Inclined And AHI Numbers

It helps me significantly in two ways. Like you, my AHI is better when sleeping inclined. In addition, being inclined to a certain level helps with acid reflux (7" is supposed to be the magic number, but I think I need a little more than that). I have a hospital type bed at home that inclines at the...

Resmed discontinuing Activa mask

FYI -- it appears that Resmed is discontinuing production of the Activa mask (there may be a few still in inventory somewhere). Apparently, the Activa LT will remain in circulation.

Such a shame, I don't like the LT version as much.

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak

Curious when the release date may come. Definitely gonna be one of the first to purchase one. My AS10 has a LOT of hours on it, and it's making a noise now that sounds like the motor is wearing out. I would think it won't be too long before it's released for two reasons: 1) Resmed currently discoun...

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak

Does anyone have a projection a date it will be available to purchase????? You will know when ResMed wants you to know. They never ever let the release date leak out. No one here has any way to know ahead of time and if they did they would have had to sign a NDA to test the new model. And everyone....

FYI -- if you click on the first picture and scroll to the right, an arrow taking you to the next slide will appear. There are 10 or so additional pictures/diagrams. I missed that initially.
