I haven't tried this because taping works so well for me, but Snoozin' Bluezzz also has great success with the Poli-grip strips: I taped fearlessly and successfully but now I use Poli-grip strips equally fearlessly and successfully with a great deal more comfort. I can pop my mouth open to cough if ...

Just a note regarding Sylvester Stallone's speech problems, which persist despite years of intensive therapy (and ridicule): A forceps accident during his birth severed a facial nerve, leaving Stallone with parts of his lip, tongue, and chin paralyzed. In doing so, the accident imprinted Stallone wi...

Bob, were you on CPAP on your first sleep study? Were you using CPAP at home between your first and second study? I'd suggest you ask your doctor if the diagnosis was CSA. I don't know the criteria for reaching that diagnosis. If it is CSA, I guess I'd ask your sister to help you search for a doctor...

Are you hanging the hose over your head from the bedpost or wall? That solved my problem with keeping the Breeze in place.

If this gentleman, who snores like a roaring lion, has had a PSG and it was determined he did not have OSA, I would suggest he consult the doctor who ordered the test for possible solutions. Perhaps an ENT would be able to shed light on the cause and offer suggestions, or maybe a dentist with knowle...

Within all this, anyone have any idea why/how one US internet vendor has begun listing/selling ResMed software again? (And their little insignia states that they're a 'preferred' internet provider.) This is great news! Which U.S. internet provider is now selling Resmed's software to patients? Has a...

Re: my spin on why resmed won't sell autoscan in USA

I talked with my sleep doc last week and he had a different take on ResMed's policy change. He said ResMed wants CPAP's & supplies to be available to the general public without a prescription. When the FDA balked at that, ResMed's strategy was to raise their prices and make their products more diff...

I think it sucks, too. They used to sell it here. I'm not sure what lurks in the mind of Peter Farrell to have singled out the United States. He obviously doesn't want the U.S. CPAP internet retailers and their customers to have the same advantages as the Australian CPAP internet retailers and their...

Quite honestly, Neversleeps... I thought the message of drbandage's about the medical community lacking screening-awareness was the single most important message I have ever read on an apnea board. Agreed! drbandage hit the nail on the head. SDB is under-considered and under-suspected. An educated ...
