Re: CPAP Dental Problems?
I have had some problems with my teeth. I don't know if the mask affected them or not. Seemed to start when I tried a full face mask. I had to keep it pretty tight to avoid the leaks. Now I am using a small Quatro FF and it fits pretty good. My question is what happens when you mouth breath with the...

Re: This sucks!
Looks like you got quite a few encouraging resposses. I don't post often but I'll tell you my experience. In my late 20 I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I always had sleep problems and problems with gaining weight. After being on and off the different high blood pressure meds and a series o...

I haven't seen any of the "Old Timers" comment here yet. BUT it seems to me you are in way too much of a hurry to see results. I am definitely no expert but it seems to take everyone some time to adjust depending on how long they have had OSA. It may take weeks or months before you body adjusts. Aft...

I have also been very iritated at the way the DME bills each part. I finally bought my own and cut the DME off. I am now being forced to buy Medicare Part B because my insurance will no longer be my primary insurer. So if I have to use insurance again it will be the same old frustration. Oh Well I g...

Like the little guy on Laugh In would say, "Very interesting BUT very confusing." Thanks for the info. The whole process (as to understanding the data) is a little confusing but I believe I am beginning to get some idea of how things work. I worked for thirty years plus with test sets both analog an...

Resmed S8 10cm limit
I have read several times that the Resmed S8 has a 10cm limitation. Does anyone know what that means and where do you get this information? I have tried my in both CPAP mode and auto and seem to do better in auto. Reading very but I have had many low.

CPAPAuction
If you haven’t checked it out yet, take a look at CPAPAuction.com. There are some good buys and it is fun to watch. Anyone needing equipment and can afford the investment can find some good buys. After studying the sales for several weeks I have learned that brand new Respironics Autos with A Flex a...

Someone directed me to this info. Works on S8. I don't know about other Res Med series. Be sure to hold down the correct buttons. I had a problem with that. It was ll new to me. ResMed S8 Series To get into the provider setup mode in a ResMed S8 CPAP machine - such as the S8 Compact, S8 Elite or S8 ...

I have learned a lot in a year and a half about sleep problems. Most of that by reading on this forum. Those who use the good Respironics machines and the encore data have shown the way to better treatment. Obviously many in the medical field that we have to deal with do not know all they should. Th...

I mean no disrespect to anyone but I think the Respironics are way overrated (and overpriced). But mainly they are way beyond MY budget t unless I got lucky on an auction. I may be lucky but I don't think the C-Flex helps me. The thing that bothers me the most is the useless help from the DME. The m...

Thank you very much. I sure asked in the right place that time. I have a son who is a respiratory therapist. In college he worked in a sleep clinic and was eventually able to convince me to get checked. By doing that I am certain that I extended my life by 20-30 years. Hopefully life with quality. I...

Resmed S8 Vantage
After 15 months on CPAP and all the conflicting information I get from the DME (not to mention the co-pays and deductibles I have wasted) I purchased a Resmed S8 Vantage Auto CPAP. I am hoping the Auto setting or a new presure setting will improve my condition. My question, is anyone familiar with s...

Is anyone familiar with the IntelliPAP AutoAdjust CPAP Machine made by DeVilbiss? I like the machine but I can not find any information on the software. I heard the machine is new and the software will not be available for a while. I am trying to purchase my own AutoCPAP and not have any connection ...
