Re: Obamacare: Cutting Liberals' Hours

Hoo boy! It was weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and now it is chemical warfare weapons in Syria. I don't even remember what our "excuse" for Afghanistan was. *sigh* We just can't seem to spend ourselves into oblivion fast enough. *sigh* Oooh, and don't forget we have to rattle our chains against...

Re: OT: Heart Flutter with Coffee

It sounds like neither an EKG nor a Holter monitor would necessarily detect what is going on. More likely a 14-21 day cardiac event monitor would have the best chance of picking up and identifying these events and their cause(s).

Nah, NOT interested. I think I"ll check outta this world before 2050. Let's see, a century would be 2042 .... nah, earlier than that even. I'll have to check out a good, convenient check out date and get back to you .... *wicked grin*

Re: Anybody used cpap in hospital lately?

I'm 2 1/2 - 3 hours north, north west of you, KneeMeister. Glad to see you posting! Several years ago now, 2003 I think, I was admitted for pain control for shingles. I had my daughter bring my VPAP Auto up when she came to visit that evening. Still later in the evening a hospital RT came down to ch...

Re: Obamacare: Cutting Liberals' Hours

Ha! Here's another "3 day wonder". Patient is admitted thru ER one evening, has emergency surgery the next morning. The second day receives a 1 pint blood transfusion. The third day receives a 1 pint blood transfusion, a doppler ultrasound of the suspected area, a second 1 pint blood transfusion. Th...

Re: Obamacare: Cutting Liberals' Hours

Had an interesting experience recently. For years now I've sat on the sidelines and watched what seems to be almost barbaric customs of tossing people out of the hospital as fast as possible regardless the procedure they had whilst there. Fortunately, didn't have to undergo that experience myself. R...

Re: OT...Fewer doctors for Medicare patients?

When you are "older than dirt" as I am you can remember back to the days when you had a good ole family doctor who actually KNEW you and your family, who had a nice office in a nice part of town w/just ONE nurse/receptionist and who made a nice living, paid off his loans made to get his degree(s), b...

Re: OT: Heart Flutter with Coffee

Do you sometimes experience these flutters when NOT drinking a caffeine beverage?

Did you have any bradycardia or tachycardia during your in-lab PSG??

There is some correlation between Atrial fibrillation and obstructive sleep apnea.

Re: OT: Hostess Brands Liquidating

I was, of course, referring to the "represent.us" group. Something to keep in mind is that the USA managed to con the USSR into spending itself into oblivion. I seriously doubt that our "enemies" failed to take note of that. And I'm equally sure that our "enemies" are doing their utmost to con the U...

Re: OT...Fewer doctors for Medicare patients?

Yup, yup. My odds of winning are MUCH better playing the numbers racket in the shops and factories. "Ain't" it something when the "mafia" pays better on the numbers than the government lotteries??? So WHO are the REAL crooks in this country??

Re: Electricity Bill

Oxygen concentrators have been known to add as much as $30 to $4 a month to our electric bills. The newer concentrators do use less. Many electric companies do allow a "discounted rate" for life-saving equipment such as an 02 concentrator, but considerably fewer offer any kind of discount for CPAPs ...

Re: Setting ResMed S8 Elite II LCD for nightly data

Paulo, the Resmed S8 Elite II is an outdated model of fully data capable CPAP. The current model is the Resmed S9 Elite w/EPR. In addition the S8 IIs required a Resmed proprietary card reader to obtain full data which is no longer easily if at all available. The Resmed S9 series use a standard SD ca...
