Re: I do have a new RESMED S9
jmelby, question about your S8, what humidifier do you use? I have the S8 Auto II and my humidifier is the H4i, but when I went to the Clinical menu my machine said Humidifier H3i. How do I change this setting?

Re: Oxygen Concentrator
Firemen do not use oxygen to go into a burning building because they know those tanks will explode. We have oxygen concentrator and O2 tanks in use signs on our front door. I worked very closely with our local fire department because I am a former ADV-EMT. I was a person that could start IV's and h...

I wish it was for planting a garden.
The only thing that turned out in the garden was the tomatoes and my kalirobbi. No pickles

Re: Where I have Been OT
Thanks rested gal.
I know I will never be 100% ever again, but I will try and help hubby plant a garden this year.
I missed out on that as well.

Re: Cleaning Mask, Hose and Humidifier
I use the Hands Rudolph and I just put my mask in the dishwasher.
I know the ResMed you have to swish with ver mild liquid dish washing soap rinse really well and let dry.
I hope this will help.

Where I have Been OT
I know I have been absent a long time, so I guess it is time to fill you all in. First I want to say welcome to all new members on this forum. Everything started going bad for me about the middle summer 2008. I was trying to keep my spirits up and not let hubby know how sick I was getting. Feb of 2...

Medicare and Non Compliance

Medicare doesn't realize that a person diagnosed with insomnia will not sleep at normal times or lengths. So my hubby who is very dear to me let me almost max out a paid off CC so I coulf g...

Re: A Question for Cat Owners
I have a cat and a dog, neither one has ever bothered my machine, hose or mask. In fact they both wake up my hubby and I if our mcahines do not sound right to them or if the electricity goes out. We are both on concentrators and they will alert us to the alarms if we do not hear them. Our animals h...

Re: best ffm for newbies
I am very partial to the Hans Rudolph Full Face mask because you can call the company and talk to a live person and the mask come in 5 different sizes. The head gear is like a cap and therefor does not mess up the hair style that much. You must remember not all masks are for everyone. No I am not a...

Some masks last only three months.
the life expectentcy for mask usually lies sometimes with the insurance companies.

I know what you mean. It seems I went to my first rehab center with CHF.
When I saw my doctor today, she said I have had CHF since my surgery.
Really nice of them to tell me.

CHF and Falling
I am sorry for not posting, but I once again had to be hospitalized for Congestive Heart Failure. I then had to go back into physical therapy. I taught the aids and nurses how to set up my CPAP machine as well as transferring my O2 tubing from the room to the CPAP. None of them could understand how...
