Re: Please help me on my situation

The doctor gave it up due to obstructive sleep apnea. My AHI was 21.5. He said you don't need an Auto CPAP, CPAP is ok for you. If you ask why 7, I do some experiments on pressure and EPR. I tried 7 yesterday with 3 EPR. How did the doctor diagnose the obstructive sleep apnea? How did he decide on ...

Then why is your machine at 7?
And why did the doc give you that machine?

Re: Please help me on my situation

How old are you?
What's your weight?
Who prescribed CPAP and why?

Look at the change in your chart starting at 4 AM.
1) There's a sudden drop in how much air you're breathing
2) This gets even worse at 5:30 and you start snoring.
3) You also start leaking at the same time.

Re: Journey to Optimizing my CPAP Settings!

Will moving to min 9 really make a big difference? I am considering that positional apnea maybe a big issue. Thanks for the info! Yes it will. The median pressure reported by your machine is usually close to 9, which means you're spending half the night at 9 or above. That also means that, for the ...

For some reason, I thought you were using the N20.

Here is a bunch of N30 mask fit videos, I hope some will help.

Re: making adjustments

When I get up to go to the bathroom, sometimes it takes a long time to get it right on my face again. I think it's OK and then it's not. This can go on for quite awhile. That's what bothers me. Don't take the mask off when you go to the bathroom. Use the tube's elbow quick disconnect to leave the h...

Re: making adjustments

OK, so for real, how much leakage is typical and nothing to be concerned about? .....ANY leak (no matter how big or how small or how prolonged) is unwanted IF IT DISTURBS SOMEONE's sleep. What she said: .....ANY leak (no matter how big or how small or how prolonged) is unwanted IF IT DISTURBS SOMEO...

There is not enough information in the graphs you've posted. You have made a series of statements. You have come to conclusions based on your statements. You give us no data that will help check the correctness of your statements or conclusions. Why were you prescribed a CPAP? What were its original...

Re: No humidity mouth taping but still leaking

Just tuck your lips in.
Don't wrinkle, don't stretch.
The process for me is:
Lip balm
Fold lips in
Put tape on, making sure the corners of my mouth are properly covered
Relax lips - tape keeps them from opening, and that's what I want.

Very similar the way vandownbytheriver does it.

Thank you very much for your prompt answer. Following your advice I'll set de machine to pressure 10-11. And the ramp to 7 as I have no trouble falling asleep and see if it works better for me. If you don't mind I'll post new charts in the following days. I think you solved my issues! We never mind...

Re: Help with Oscar

Back with the charts from the last few days. Pressure is changed by the provider to 7-11. I don't wake up alarmed and I sweat less or nothing at all. Was that related to adrenaline or that my heart was working at turbo speed? I feel a bit more tired during the day but it may have to be related to t...

Re: New machine, doubled AHI - what could be cause?

No sense in making many changes at once.
Stick to the changes you made, and see what happens.

If I understant correctoy, you made 3 changes:
Improved the leaks, took melatonin, slept in a different position.
