Re: Has anyone experienced air in their scalp

No need to post in two threads. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t188083/Feeling-of-fluid-on-my-scalp.html I did have a meningitis tumour removed 20 years ago so there was some work done on my head..,maybe that helps explain it? I find it makes me anxious…I just want to know what it is and that it...

Starting four nights ago I replaced my aging AirSense 10 Autoset with the newer 11.
.
I do have a new mask, and maybe that has helped my seal, but it is the same model (the F20) I've been using for ages.
4 days, new mask - how about running for 4 days with the old mask and no other changes?

Re: Worrying session last night - hypopneas increased tenfold!

Did you notice the tremendous difference in your leak rate? The leak - and pressure - grew at the end of the night of 20th, and are much higher on all of the 21st, than they on most of the hours of the 21st. I'd check all the connections in the system - humidifier seal, hose all mask parts, filter d...

Re: Help with Oscar

Thank you for your answer. I can't think of a reason why I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night. That's not my usual sleep pattern. Nevertherless I feel all-right. That's great. Does it also mean you were not alarmed or sweaty when you woke up? Yesterday I made an appointment with my family ...

Re: Help with Oscar

How do you feel today? How did you feel with the higher pressures? Do you know what woke you up? What kind of waking was it? About the humidifier: Do you mean you have no humidifier? Or do you mean you don't put water in it? Do you have a heated hose ("Climateline")? Temp. of 27 and humidifier at 4 ...

Re: AirCurve 10 bilevel vs Airsense 10

Very good points by NoOnesPerfect except for one. To make your settings similar to the aircurve, you would need to increase the minimum pressure to 11 on the airsense (the 3 EPR would create a minimum exhale pressure of 8, just like on the aircurve). To get a maximum 16 exhale pressure on the airsen...

To follow up on ozij's post, it would be helpful in particular to know the central apnea index from your original sleep study.
By "original" do you mean a sleep study other than the titration study?

Re: Apnea Events Still High After Titration Study Help Needed Lowering Events

Based on your sleep study and the charts you posted it seems to me that the follow-up with the doctor is very important. You have indications of complex sleep apnea or treatment emergent central apnea that may not be properly treated with a CPAP which is why they suggested you come for a follow-up. ...

Re: Help with Oscar

You'll find written instructions here - the Autoset 10 manual https://www.respshop.com/manuals/ResMed-AirSense-10-for%20her.pdf Page 17 "Adjusting the clinical setting" Do it slowly, not before you're going to bed but rather earlier. You want the Autoset mode, and notice which pressure you're settin...

Re: Help with Oscar

I watched that video and I'm ready to change the pressure. :D I wouldn't touch the EPR at this point - making more than one change at a time just confuses us. I think 7-10 is a good idea. Make that change, see how you feel, and keep track of you results on OSCAR. Stick to it for 5 nights or so, unl...

Re: Help with Oscar

Thank you, ozij. As I wrote earlier, the pressure has been fixed at 7 and I can't change it to see if a higher or flexible pressure would help. My question is of there is a correlation between the fixed pressure and experiencing those night sweats. You are undertreated and you have night sweats. Th...

Re: ResMed Lumis 150 VPAP ST Questions

Question 2: We have been turning the machine off of a morning with a single power button press (not holding it down) and have noticed that for quite a while after turning the machine off (up to an hour or so) there is a slight trickle of air flow still coming from the mask, which eventually stops a...

Re: Help with Oscar

Congratulations, Ana, the last two links let us see your breathing during the night. Here's what I see: You're using a constant pressure of 7. This pressure is low enough to let you snore, and, while you're snoring your breath form also shows signs of partial obstruction (flow limitations) This mean...

Re: Moving SD card from Airsense 10 to an S9

And remember to get your S9 card into OSCAR frequently. The S9 saves only 5 nights of detailed data on the card, the rewrites them. If don't read the data within that time period, the details are lost.
