Re: What do I need for trip to Europe?
Randy..... I respectfully disagree with your position on "distilled water". At home, I do use distilled water....but on a trip I don't want the hassle of trying to find some while I'm on the move. I realize that the manufacturers suggest the use of distilled water....but they don't give a reason "wh...

Re: What do I need for trip to Europe?
A last thought....... When you buy your adapter kit, spring for the one with multiple plugs. The one I found has about (4) slightly different 220V plugs that all snap together and live in their own little drawstring bag. You'll be amazed at how useful a multiple plug system will be. We also carried ...

Re: What do I need for trip to Europe?
Hose-Head....... Recently spent time in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and on a cruise ship. So long as you have adapter plugs and a 10' extension cord, you'll have no problem. Use drinking water for your humidifier.....and swish / rinse every day. Distilled water not necessary. Carry on your M-Series...

Re: How Long Are You Keeping Your Gray Filter?
For the past month or so, I've been experimenting with a very inexpensive way to improve filtration.....while decreasing the strain on my machine....and making it even easier for me to breathe. I have removed the fine white filter....and replaced it with a double thick cotton "makeup removal pad". I...

My wife and I both tried it....and found it bulky and uncomfortable. We continue to use #2080 EL Painter's Tape.

Re: Newbie Taping Mouth Shut
I haven't experimented with Tegaderm yet....but, what if you fab some lightweight "handles" for the ends....out of thin card stock....about the width of a popsicle stick and 2" long. Do a couple of wraps around the card stock with the Tegaderm....and you've got instant "handles" for removal in the m...

Re: Best mask for side sleepers?
Jackson...... The best mask I've found for side sleeping is the "Headrest" by Aeiomed. It seems, however, that they are going out of business. If you can still get your hands on one, it'll do the job. I love mine so much that I've bought up a bunch of spares....like many other devotees have...to mak...

Re: Just had another Sleep test last night
Robert. They're "workin' ya"....... The last sleep test i endured......the "doctor" met with us....one after the other....in the morning before we went home. He took care of everything that morning. We each got a report and a consultation. Multiple WEEKS before you get a result is crap! And it's dan...

Re: Rainout question and help needed
Inside my nosepiece I have a strand of string about 6" long. It's completely encased by the nosepiece....and soaks up any drop large enough to make me wake up as it tries to go up my nose.
Each mask is different....each one requires a little creativity when placing the string.

Re: Rainout question and help needed
Beanfruit..... There are (2) sources of rainout: condensation inside the hose caused by moist air from the humidifier....and condensation inside the mask caused by moist air from your exhaled breath. I suspect your problem is caused by exhaled breath. There is a simple solution to the problem...a sh...

The Cuda and the Frog are right. Take their advice and act on it.
The medical industry works hard at "livestock control"...us being the "livestock".
Refuse to be "bovinely compliant". Hang a horn in 'em if necessary.

Re: WHY IS MY DME COMPANY LYING?
Jobe......... Rested Gal is giving you correct information. Follow her lead and you'll be OK. She is a thousand times more credible than any DME. The DME's will lie to you because they want more money from you and/or your insurance company. They'll spin you in every possible direction.....and they d...

Re: Need advice for starting again
Pugsy is the voice of experience and reason....her advice is good. If you purchase a top of the line APAP that is fully data capable, reporting software, humidifier, an oximeter, and reporting software to go with it, you can do your own sleep studies EVERY night. It's my opinion that you can do much...
