Noisy machine

So as you know I have been using the M series for a couple of months now and have not had too many problems other than rainout ( we won't go there ). It has been a pretty quiet machine with more noise using the swift than the CL2, but still tolerable. Well the other morning, my husband told me that ...

Hi everyone! Its been a while...

But, I am doing pretty well. I am faithfully using the swift, the CL2 is retired to perhaps warmer weather, and it is working out beautifully. I am so lucky, that I never sold the blessed thing. It is pretty comfortable the way I have it set up, with the tubing facing down and clipped to my pj's and...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought this was being used for people with narcolepsy/cataplexy? At least it was last year, for the patient I was using it for. This poor woman had OSA and narcoplepsy with cataplexy. It was a pain in the ass to have to wake her up an hour after the first dose is give...

Coughing and using cpap

I was just thinking what happens if you are sick with a cough? It must be a disaster. I don't have a cough, but am starting to get a scratchy throat and a tickle that is making me cough a little. I don't think its the reflux, I think I may be coming down with something. Last year I got bronchitis re...

Thanks guys....I used another hose last night, washed my mask and humidifier thoroughly and I had no problems last night, other than the fact that I think all that soaking for my mask softened up the nasal pillows and they didn't seem to fit as well last night, but after a few more nights I'm sure t...

I did open the tank up that way and cleaned it well. I also only use distilled water. Haven't been using any ammonia.

Embarrassing question

Ok, here it is: Two days ago, we had one of my friends toddler over and he took a nap in my room on my husbands side of the bed. Well last night, around 4 am, I awoke to this awful smell through my mask. It really smelled like urine! I ripped off the mask and somehow put on my CL2 and a minute later...

When I see these numbers-it confirms my questions about what am I really doing on cpap. I am still trying to understand how to read and interpret my initial sleep study. What I can tell you is that from my study, my AHI is listed as 4.8. Doesn't that seem like such a low # compared to most of you......

Great idea, snoredog. I have it pretty low about 6 inches off the floor and it still happened, but I haven't tried it on the floor itself.

Happy that I reconsidered

Yes, this post is about something that has to do with only me: I am so happy that I was unable to sell my swift, it has been a life saver for me. As you have all heard me "whine" about before, my rain out problem was a pain. I have not had the ability to purchase the aussie yet, so instead I have be...
