I used to take medication for hypertension but after two years on CPAP and some modifications to my diet and excercise routine, I no longer need my blood pressure medication.

I can honestly tell you that I had GERD so severe before going on CPAP that I would sometimes vomit in my sleep. After going on CPAP, my GERD has virtually disappeared with only an occasional flare up that is easily treated with some TUMS. I would wait and see what happens with the CPAP before permi...

I have a Respironics Remstar Pro w/CFlex that was given to me and I was excited to start using it because it has a smart card, and my Remstar Plus does not. So I got it all set up with the correct pressure and CFlex settings, etc, and went to use it one night. I couldn't stand the whining noise it w...

Catnapper, January will be two years for me on CPAP. Like many, I experienced great improvement immediately after beginning treatment. I had read that I was going to lose weight, have lots of energy, etc. Then after a few months it seemed to level off. Your body takes time to heal itself after being...

I've been Cpaping for 1 yr and 8 months now. I noticed that after the initial high wears off, you will just feel normal for a while. I'm just now starting to get the second wind part of it. I guess it just took my body that long to repair itself to the point where I needed to be. But now I'm feeling...

[quote="ladytonya"]I know that sleep apnea is a serious matter, but sheesh. Lighten up! If we can't laugh about it on here, where can we? It doesn't mean that anyone would ever have to choose, it's just a hypothetical question. For the record, I actually voted for cpap. Yeah, I know about the import...

TV or CPAP?
If you could only have one, what would you give up? TV or xPAP? I would give up my TV in a heartbeat if it meant I got to keep my CPAP.

It sounds like your driver signing is set too restrictive. Right click on your "My Computer" icon and go to properties. Click on the "Hardware" tab. In the middle there should be a button that says "Driver Signing". Click on it and make sure it is set to "Warn" or "Ignore". Thanks Techno, that did ...
