Re: The last "Breeze" mask question I'll ask.

The Breeze mask is killing me. Oldsearock, I had similar problems with the Breeze. I had to adjust the plenum so tightly to avoid leaks that it caused a lot of problems until I subverted some of RG’s ideas. The alteration was made using Velcro Coins and pantyhose. I placed one coin on the plenum ju...

[quote="derek"] Only two hours on a 1500 VA UPS! That's what I was afraid of - I had hoped to get much more. Were you running the humidifier through the UPS? What brand/model? Actually, I was about to jump in the car and go purchase a 1100 VA Belkin. Maybe I'll wait. Derek, I was running the humidif...

I live in the Tampa Bay area, which is also the lightening capital of the US. A UPS on any sensitive or expensive equipment is a must. Almost every UPS has an outage alert and turns into a blessing and curse for CPAP. The blessing is that you are alerted to a power outage even in the middle of the n...

OldSeaRock, Since you are on bi-level, what are your IPAP and EPAP settings? The reason I am asking is that the Activa is unusable for me after switching from CPAP to bi-level (VPAP III). I typically use the ramp feature and fall asleep with the Active without any problems. But, after I am asleep, I...

Are you referring to split night or split study?

Turning on the ramp feature sets the Auto to split night if the unit is set to APAP.

I saw my sleep Dr today and she was at a loss on what could be causing the downhill slide. She jokingly commented that I had pretty much ruined her afternoon by not continuing to improve. She read over my sleep study several times and looked over my Encore data. She could not think of any reasons th...

hockeydad, I am having the same problem. I started on CPAP in March and moved to APAP due to stomach cramps. The first eight weeks were great!! I felt like a new person, bags under my eyes were going away, began losing weight, I could read an entire book. My manager even commented on how good I look...

I have both the Infinity (the new redesigned model) and the Breeze. I have never wanted to like an interface as much as I want to like the Infinity, but I cannot get it to maintain a good seal. Due to pressure on the hose, the Infinity typically “pops” out several times a night. I have a towel ring ...

Hi Tom, Have you tried setting the ramp on your CPAP? This should make falling asleep tolerable. I would try setting the lower end of the ramp to 5 or 6 to make the transition to falling asleep. Also, she is a very strong proponent of C-Flex, so if she gave you a model with C-Flex, ensure it is enab...
