Re: Considering purchase of Transcend Auto, looking for feedback

Also, some people in the reviews mentioned that it was noisier at the mask than other cpaps.

I'm not exactly sure what they mean. If you use CPAP A and CPAP B at the same pressure, shouldn't the mask noise be the same? is there some other factor I'm overlooking?

Re: Considering purchase of Transcend Auto, looking for feedback

I read through those, just hoping for more feedback - especially from someone who might be upgrading from much older system like me. (It's one thing to compare new to new, but another to compare 2015 models with 2005.)

Considering purchase of Transcend Auto, looking for feedback

I've been on a cpap for about 10 years. I used a Remstar Auto C-Flex, and that worked quite well for me. The Auto mechanism was very helpful. THis Machine has kicked the bucket, as I've been using it regularly for all 10 years. As a travel machine, I also have an Everest II with Batteries. It isn't ...

Questions about Everest 3 as a travel / camping CPAP

I've been using a Respironics Remstar for a few years at home, and it's been fine. It looks like I will have some excess $ in my Medical reimbursement acct at the end of the year, and was thinking about getting a Everest 3 as a travel / Camping CPAP. Anyone have feedback, opinions on the Everest 3? ...

Mask Seal tore, what now?

Well, here's the situation... I've been on CPAP for about 2 years, since then I've changed Jobs, Insurance, Etc. Haven't had any followup from the DR. or the DME. I also found a used APAP/Mask here. Everythign was going well, 100% compliance... But over the weekend, the seal on my mask tore. Luckily...

Can weight loss and smoking cessation "cure" some

I've been on CPAP for about 2 years now. Since that time, I've upgraded from a cpap to an apap w/ card & software so that I can view my stats, etc. Anyway, a couple months ago, I had a minor Heart Attack. Since that time, I have changed my health-related lifestyle quite a bit. Quit smoking, and am i...

Homemade hose clip?

I seem to recall that someone had good instructions on how to make a Hose Clip for attaching your hose to the bed. Anyone have a link to that?

(I was draping the hose over the post of the bed, but we are buying a new bed w/o posts, so that's not possible anymore.)

between encore pro and my encore, is there any way to know what times your apap hit specific pressures? That might give me a good indication of whether or not that is the problem.

Other than appearance/form factor of the device, is there any reason a respironics M series Auto Cflex is better than the equivalent Remstar Auto cflex?

Since I switched to an apap (1 week so far, preceeded by about 8 months of cpap) My AHI has been fluctuating in the .5 - 1.5 range, as measured by the Respironics auto cpap. Don't know if that is typical or not, but I'm not complaining.

Usually between 10:30 and 11:30. Get out of bed for good at 6:00

(Yeah, I know it's not a full 8 hours. But with 6 month old twins, I don't get to decide when I go to bed each night, nor do I have a choice about when to get up to go to work.)

Why the heck am I waking up every morning at 4:00?

For about a week now, I have been waking up at 4:00 on the dot. Incidentally, this started at the same time I switched to an apap and an activa.

I'm able to go back to sleep afterwards, but Its really annoying.

I Hope you can get used to it. When my wife had gestational diabetes, It was an inconvenience to me as well, because the diet of the whole family changed. However, I learned to live with it, because I knew of the benefit it would be to both my wife, and my twin sons she was carrying. Many times, Med...

Coming from other styles of masks, it almost feels too loose... But no leaks that I have noticed so far.
