Re: How to deal with extreme anxiety over a "flutter" that is intermittent or always there but occulted
Hi Julia, I take CALMS and this does help me sleep but I only get 3 hours a night. Worse, I think the Propranalol (taken for a "flutter" never diagnosed) is contraindicated for sleep apes. It has been almost a month and I am still getting 2-3 hours a night, and i AM DESPERATE to find the machine set...

Re: How to deal with extreme anxiety over a "flutter" that is intermittent or always there but occulted

I had a very mild "flutter" and the feeling of a "bounding pulse." I was not using a CPAP. I have used the beta blocker to supp...

Hi Lazarus,
Can you or anyone please help me understand my results in the attached report? I am waiting on a sleep study but it is taking weeks to get set up.

Re: Desperate for answers regarding CPAP and CHF
Thanks Lazarus (interesting name). My doctor today finally talked with me and agreed to set me up with a new Cardiologist and a new sleep study and a Psych referral for the anxiety. After checking my past history on the CPAP (11 years), i was surprised to find some incidents of periodic breathing; b...

How to deal with extreme anxiety over a "flutter" that is intermittent or always there but occulted
Hi, (deleted section here about my family doctor "not" treating my anxiety over the return of the "flutter" (see below) seriously; she is doing her best to help me ferret out the true origin of my excessive anxiety regarding disordered sleep, which was NOT IN PLAY three months ago (it all started wh...

Re: Why is it necessary to have a support team?
Hi, I don't know if this is the right spot for my comment but I really need help/support right now and don't know where to turn. In 2011 I bought my first CPAP (Respironics BiPAP Auto) on Amazon, because my Sleep Specialist doctor wanted to sell me one for $4500 (and $500 for the mask); i bought it ...
